Hi everyone!
Kind of new here, registered 2 yrs ago but havent come to the ttc state until now. We have to beautiful boys and are now planning on a third child and thought we would give swyaing for pink a chance.
I nordic countries a general advice for ttc pink is to use Bromhexine (both men and women). It's supposed to increase fertility due to thinner mucus, but is also said to be good for girl sways.
Has anyone here heard of it?
I think I read here that the CM should be as little as possible and also thick - is that correct? I that case Bromhexine would do just the opposite?
We are to start swaying pink soon and I think I got most of the advice quite clear (although I might nog get them right in praktice...) but this is still confusing me.
Would be sooo grateful if someone knows more about this and could help me out! Thanks!

Bromhexine sways girl or not?

Sounds like guaifenesin, which is good for EWCM and sways boy. So yes, you would want to avoid that when swaying for a girl, as you want thick, creamy CM, not thin/watery/egg white CM.
You do need a little fertile CM in order to get pregnant at all, but many boy moms have copious EWCM so reducing it greatly is a common goal. Often just the dramatic change in diet will help reduce EWCM/change it to creamy. Prior to going on the LE diet I'd have a week or more of EWCM and now I have only one day of EWCM, the other fertile days it's either watery (after 3 weeks on diet) or creamy (after 6 weeks on diet).
Welcome back, fellow European!
My Ovulation Chart currently TTC, Cycle #16 since last BFP
TTC #1- swaying pink on & off since Nov 2013 - hoping for a girl first but excited for either!
Dec 2001 - May 2006 : 5 early abortions of healthy singletons (3 medical @5w, 2 surgical @8w, last 4 pregnancies conceived with late DH, all conceived while TTA/on birth control)
Mar 2012: miscarried B/G twins @5w (conceived 2 cycles after remověng Paraguard copper IUD while NTNP), one twin was ovarian ectopic
Me: 34, widowed, late O + short LP, normal-good hormone levels excepting undetectable testosterone, seeking a known sperm donor/life partner
My sway: vegetarian LE for over 28w, skipping breakfast, fibre (ground psyllium husks) with/before/between meals, physically inactive, drama avoidance, ocassional minimal YesBaby lube as needed, alternate cycles on low dose Clomid, double shot lattes (with meals)
Past sway tactics I've dropped (in order): Vitex, Sudafed, antihistamines, intermittent fasting, one attempt per cycle at positive OPK, one attempt in fertile period

Thanks maidentomother! (And I just realised I registered almost 3 years ago, wow, I couldnt imagine that it would take us so long to come to the "doing" phase of this!)
I googled guaifenesin and it seems to be pretty much the same. I just can't understand why everyone here keeps saying it's an girl sway?? I will def drop that.

We believe that it sways blue. IT is the same as guanefesin and we use that for blue sways. But that having been said, we do the best we can with limited info and while I personally don't think it sways pink, I'm not the font of all earthly knowledge LOL!
