Too late to ttc this month?

I've been doing the LE diet for about 6 weeks now and finally felt like I wanted to start ttc this month...well I got the egg symbol on my CBEFM this morning and dh is away on business until Friday. He's only going to be home for a few hours and then leaves again for another day.

Will Fri be too far past O to conceive? I don't even know if we'd get a chance to dtd since all kids will be home <sigh> Oh well I guess I have another month to do LE lol.

It may be too late but I don't see why it would hurt anything to try. If it works then great and if not then you kind of figured anyway right? You could always take another test on friday and see if you are still fertile maybe?

Most likely, but there is a chance it won't be too late - Oing 2 or more days after a positive OPK isn't that uncommon. I'm not sure about monitors, but they seem even more unreliable from what I've observed, so again, there is a chance, though not a great one. It is better to have the one attempt at least 12 hours before O so the sperm are ready to fertilize the moment you O. I would definitely still attempt this month though, as you never know!

    Are you temping?

    My Ovulation Chart
currently TTC, Cycle #16 since last BFP

TTC #1 - swaying pink on & off since Nov 2013 - hoping for a girl first but excited for either!

Dec 2001 - May 2006 : 5 early abortions of healthy singletons (3 medical @5w, 2 surgical @8w, last 4 pregnancies conceived with late DH, all conceived while TTA/on birth control)
Mar 2012: miscarried B/G twins @5w (conceived 2 cycles after remověng Paraguard copper IUD while NTNP), one twin was ovarian ectopic

Me: 34, widowed, late O + short LP, normal-good hormone levels excepting undetectable testosterone, seeking a known sperm donor/life partner
My sway: vegetarian LE for over 28w, skipping breakfast, fibre (ground psyllium husks) with/before/between meals, physically inactive, drama avoidance, ocassional minimal YesBaby lube as needed, alternate cycles on low dose Clomid, double shot lattes (with meals)
Past sway tactics I've dropped (in order): Vitex, Sudafed, antihistamines, intermittent fasting, one attempt per cycle at positive OPK, one attempt in fertile period

Thanks ladies! No not temping, maiden.
I don't know when we would even get to dtd, he comes home in the middle of the day and then leaves again, sigh. I was just really hoping to ttc now. Oh well- maybe it's better this way? More time on LE diet?

Question about CBEFM- when one gets the egg symbol does it mean you are about to O, or that O is happening right now? I guess even if I didn't O until tomorrow it would still be too late since the egg only lives 12-24 hrs right?

It's probably going to be too late, but heck, if it is, then nothing is really lost! I'd give it a go just to cover your bases.

I have Oed a few days after pos OPK. Doesn't hurt to try! Did you get any attempts in before he left?
