You DON'T know. That is my point. I see so many people wait and wait and wait and wait as the months fly by and the fact of the matter is that none of us know how it works. So I do not want anyone to squander the limited and precious months out of their fertile window waiting for this "perfect" month that doesn't actually ever exist.
Waiting around months and years to TTC for your ducks to be in a row isn't allowed on this site! On the other sites there are people who have gone on swaying for 2 years only to get opposites, both TTC pink and TTC blue, and this is unacceptible.

Biologically, breastfeeding ~should~ sway pink a little (and would be happy to explain if anyone is interested) but the demographic of the types of people who are most likely to breastfeed up to the point where they conceive another kiddo, tends to be MUCH more boy moms than pink. Only about 35-45% of moms in the US are still even breastfeeding at 6 months let alone at older ages when you're more likely to be TTC again. The gals who continue BF and TTC while still breastfeeding tend to be a lot more "crunchy" and into nutrition and this skews the statistics.
I got one boy and one girl while breastfeeding and 3 boys without it.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

[QUOTE=lovebabies;528926]Ok great! Thanks for all the replies.. Atomic i would love to know a bit more about the biological effects of breastfeeding. Only if its not to much bother! Xx
Well from my experience, i exclusively breastfed my son for 6 months, and introduced other feeds around tht time coz i had to go to work. I continued breast feeding him after work, at nite and early morning till he was a year and 2 months. I didnt get my period all this time. SO i knw it worked as a natural birth control for me.
2. It helped with my weight loss. I had C/S and therefore told not to work out till after some weeks, i couldnt also tie my stomach coz of the wound but i lost so much weight, even though i ate a lot to make sure i had enough supply of milk. I didnt realise how much it helped till i stopped B/F.
3. Dont get me wrong (if you didnt breastfeed), but it helped me bond more with my baby. I rem the way he'd look into my eyes, hold my finger and lift one of his leg when feeding. My DH was only able to fully bond with him after i stopped b/f and now they're the best of buddies.
4. It made my boobs slightly bigger and fuller... lol.

I believe that the way gender swaying works is that when you are super fertile, you are more likely to have boys, and when you are lower in fertility, even if it's not super obvious that you are, you are more likely to conceive girls. Breastfeeding affects your hormones as almost a natural birth control method and sort of just gently declines your fertility a bit by suppressing the manufacture of some of the sex hormones.
Additionally, breastfeeding can help lower blood sugar levels and some research indicates lower blood sugar levels may help with a pink sway.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

For me personally I don't understand why breastfeeding would sway pink. I know it helps you lose weight but when I was breastfeeding I was eating lots of calories and healthy nutrient dense foods which sways blue...the majority of people I know who were breastfeeding and got pregnant had the same sex as their current baby and more boys than girls.
