I got lots of replies from the pink thread as well and so far it is 50-50.Therefore debunking the moon theory as far as I am concerned.
ELP you crack me up it is 40 weeks from your last menstrual period until the due date therefore you either count back 38 or you count back 40 and then forward for 2 to get to your ovulation day alsofor you sounds like you Oed in waning moon so you don't need to care for the moon theory, yet it would have been good to get your stats.

I have only been observing my CM after I finished BF DD2 this month and today it was good thick and with spotting!!! All good signs right. Before this month we were not using any contraception and were not really going to try swaying and I was not getting pregnant, so hopefully I have started ovulating as soon as I stopped the breastfeeding. Only one way to find out right.
We were going to wait till August but I don't think we can. I am getting old and I would really feel so much better if I was pregnant when I went back to work. I really don't feel like going back to work but will love it knowing it is only temporary and that no-one can sack me. I think 6 weeks on the diet is enough what do you think? I am not taking supplements so no need to wait for them to kick in. DH has been complaining that he is "getting meaty" I don't know whether he was talking about himself or trying to tell me something in a nice way but i do not like my boy diet chunks either and I have only been on the diet for less than a month
So I will go and buy those opk things and use them together with my saliva microscope next month and eat like crazy until then.

Welcome Layla, i would say to go on diet for a bit longer to up your chances of getting your boy but that all depends on how you feel.

This may be too late on the drinking advice (when pg and not wanting others to suspect)....because I always have a cocktail with people, so it would be clue #1......this is what I do: either tell people you are on meds that you can't have alc with, make up something (little white lies....you can fess up later), OR just order your drink (like a vodka tonic or something) and then excuse yourself to the bathroom and go tell the waiter you want a plain sprite with a lime in it and tell him you are pg but not wanting to clue your friends in, they get it. I've done that lots of times. Just give em a nice tip for being cool. I guess another good one is just saying you are hung over from the night before and just having a water to detox, or you are detoxing for ttc in the next couple of months. There are lots of good excuses.

Layla, don't worry about it too much. The moon is by no means a clincher. Just means that more + ions are present during a full moon and more negative ions during a new moon. It is said that male sperm are more attracted to a + ion egg, so you want to have more + ions around you when you ttc. If the moon is not naturally on your side, and you are worried about this (lots of people disregard, it is not a big swaying factor for most people), you can counteract the ions from the new moon and add positive ions when you dtd. Most of us, just for shits and giggles, I think, put our cell phone and/or laptop on our belly after dtd for a while. Electronics have tons of + ions, which are incidently the bad kind of ions (pollutions and such are all +). I think also air conditioning and electric blankets have been used. But seriously, don't worry about it too much. My cycle is ALWAYS in the new moon, so I just rely on my sitting at a computer all day and putting my cell and computer near me when we attempt, for swaying's sake, really.

CONGRATS, ELP!!!!! Hope this is a sticky little healthy bean for you! You're gonna have to go with NLP pretty soon! LOL!
Alexis, I agree with FF, I think you O'ed later, which is good news, still possible that you are pg and just early. NO STRESSING about it though....it can take a few months and that is totally normal! Just keep your chin up if this isn't your month and know it will be soon!
Kris, hope all works out for you....I guess I'd just go with the IVF also if you can afford it and your donor bails on you. MEN! I know I can't afford all that stuff, so I understand completely why you are trying to do this on your own first, I would do the same thing.
Good luck in the 2ww, Cheeky, TTC5 and ZB! Let's keep this ball rolling! Anyone else in the 2ww that I failed to wish luck to...my bad! LUCK!!!
Tink, I don't know why, but I tend to O at different days each month. Anywhere from CD12-18. I am CD14 today and am actually Oing today (any minute now, actually), although we are skipping this month. Don't worry about it, the supps and swaying can make you vary, but just keep tracking! Most women O on different days anyway, not swaying.
Hope you pregosauruses are doing well. B, don't worry about not eating, just get something in you. I didn't eat anything but a banana and maybe a yogurt for 4 months with DD1 (lost 15 lbs actually, almost had to go into hospital), and suddenly the ms lifted and I ate like Gengis Khan for the next 5 months and gained the 15 back plus 40 on top of it. But, my DD1 is fine and healthy and smart as hell, so don't worry about it. I think most of us have had one that we worried about as we didn't eat much in the beginning. You are doing the right thing, though.....take that vit and try to eat when you can.
What up, Iluv...glad to see you back too, hun. Don't worry about your thyroid meds swaying. Just get it under control and yu will be just fine. Hope you are doing ok!
xxooooooo
