So we had an ultrasound to check on baby Friday. I was 12w5d, I didn't get a great nub shot but I got all slight boy leans on here and also the ultrasound tech guessed boy (FX all you guys are right).
We are leaving for a trip the day I turn 15 weeks and really want to announce the gender while we are gone because I have an adorable gender announcement idea that will only work if we are away. I scheduled an elective ultrasound for 14w6d. The place is supposedly good and I know the have the highest tech ultrasound machines you can get.
Also, hubs would really like to be at the ultrasound where you find out gender but our anatomy scan place is open the same hours he works, and he can't take anymore time off since he just took a week off for vacation.
Is it likely they will be able to have a pretty sure idea of gender at pretty much 15 weeks (I was measuring a day ahead at my last ultrasound)? I don't want to waste my money or time if nobody thinks its worth it.

I think so. My son was an obvious boy at 13 weeks.

I found out during the end of my 14th week that DS3 was a boy! There was no second guessing it either as it was very obvious.

I did. I got an ultrasound at 15 weeks and 1 day and it was clear he was all boy.
I attached the ultrasound for you. I think you should be able to see your baby and make that special announcement! Good luck to you.Baby Jasper on the way!! That makes 4 boys, no more for us!Feel so blessed!

Thank you!!! My worst fear is that they tell me he and then at my 18 week anatomy scan he turns into she... I would be devastated!

I would not worry about that! Boys are too obvious, as you can see from my ultrasounds- all my boys showed. The technician said it's always easy to know boy- a little harder with girls.
Once you know boy it's hard for them to tell you girl later but not impossible. I would just go confidently.Baby Jasper on the way!! That makes 4 boys, no more for us!Feel so blessed!
