Is there really a trend to "oops" baby gender? - BabyCenter
I bet this is bc an oops baby is often conceived in pink sway conditions like one attempt only/using pull out method/on birth control/using condom/using spermicide which will sway for a girl in couples who are inclined towards girls already or are fairly balanced in terms of gender.

    My Ovulation Chart
currently TTC, Cycle #16 since last BFP

TTC #1 - swaying pink on & off since Nov 2013 - hoping for a girl first but excited for either!

Dec 2001 - May 2006 : 5 early abortions of healthy singletons (3 medical @5w, 2 surgical @8w, last 4 pregnancies conceived with late DH, all conceived while TTA/on birth control)
Mar 2012: miscarried B/G twins @5w (conceived 2 cycles after remověng Paraguard copper IUD while NTNP), one twin was ovarian ectopic

Me: 34, widowed, late O + short LP, normal-good hormone levels excepting undetectable testosterone, seeking a known sperm donor/life partner
My sway: vegetarian LE for over 28w, skipping breakfast, fibre (ground psyllium husks) with/before/between meals, physically inactive, drama avoidance, ocassional minimal YesBaby lube as needed, alternate cycles on low dose Clomid, double shot lattes (with meals)
Past sway tactics I've dropped (in order): Vitex, Sudafed, antihistamines, intermittent fasting, one attempt per cycle at positive OPK, one attempt in fertile period

That may have something to do with it but I think it's a natural effect too. Our bodies have mechanisms in place that lower fertility in that first year after having a baby and also our condition tends to be declined for awhile due to lack of sleep, physical effects of pg/birth/lactation, etc

I got pregnant in Aug 2012, but lost him at 15 weeks in November and had to deliver him in Dec and then got pregnant again in Aug 2013 leaving 8 months in between without a sway and am due with a girl in May :-) Only thing I really did was take precautions by taking supplements and coincedentally dtd 3 dpo and one day after.. Not planned. Wasnt trying to get pregnant, but not preventing eathier. Didn't eat breakfast (not a breakfast person anyways) except a couple hard boiled eggs and some coffee.. My lazy that I wouldn't even call a sway is in the swaying section if u wanna see it. So the opposite can happen..

My mom had me and 10 months later had my brother!

I really hope it works for me this time - my son just turned 18 months when I found out I'm pregnant again!
Baby Jasper on the way!! That makes 4 boys, no more for us! Feel so blessed!

I don't think it's true. I got pregnant with ds2 when ds1 was 12 months. I just think I accidentally swayed for a boy both times (so glad I did...they're my world and boys are so fun).
    praying and swaying

I hope not...we want a boy !! lol We have two girls and an angel baby. The girls are 2.5 years apart, the angel baby was concieved when baby girl was..6 or 7 months young. She'll be 8 months later this month.

My parents had 4 girls, the oldest two are 18 months apart.

My husband's parents had 7 boys and the last a girl. There's a 10-12 year difference between the youngest and oldest.

Honestly I think it's probably something made up by a jealous friend or sibling or something. haha ! Who comes up with these things ??

I think I unintentionally swayed pink both times because naturally my diet is VERY girl friendly, it's been so weird eating for a boy friendly enviroment.

I come up with them based on research. There are biological reasons why I hold the opinions I do and always happy to explain them.

None of these things are 100% or ever going to be. If we're talking about soemthing that can alter the gender ratio by a few percentage points that is a pretty huge deal even though we will still see tons of people who buck the rulez.
