    DNA Gender Prediction Test

Has anyone done this DNA test? It's performed at 9 weeks and apparently said to be 99% accurate. Gender Predictor Test UK | Boy Girl DNA Test | Blue or Pink

I think that's called harmony or materniT here in the US. I've never done it but I've heard its quite accurate.

This is not the same thing as Harmony, Panorama or MaterniT21+. Those are DNA based tests for genetic fetal anomalies that happen to also test (and be very accurate) for gender. Your blood vial drawn in a lab/Dr. office and is sent in for analysis. Without insurance, these tests are all $1000 and more.

The link you posted is for a test strictly for gender based on analysis of drops of maternal blood on a card. All tests like that have been proven to be about as accurate as a coin flip, as are urine-based tests.

They say it specifically looks for traces of male fetal DNA in the mother's urine. If none is present the baby is female. It is explained quite scientifically on their FAQ's.

I did something similar when pregnant with DS6. It said I was having a girl. I have a very cheeky, absolutely adorable almost 2 yr old who's all boy!

I had a wrong Intelligender that said DS2 was going to be a girl. It's fine if you want to spend $30 on a test for fun that's completely inaccurate, but I take serious issue with the mail order "DNA" tests that charge over $100 and are proven to be inaccurate. That's just taking advantage of people who confuse it for the real thing!

Urine tests are not reliable, blood tests done in a lab are.
