    Starving during AF

    Right before and during AF I get extremely hungry. AF is due in 2 days and the hunger has started. Im really struggling going so long between meals (4-5 hours) without snacking. Any advice? I am eating 1800 calories per day.

    Hey fitblonde try eating more at lunch/dinner? I find it really hard not to snack when I am not working and at home so usually cheat once a week... try diet coke/ herbal teas/chewing gum hope that helps xxx

    This probably isn't good advice but I have decided for the day prior to AF and 1st day of AF (total 2 days), I will be eating at 10 am, 2 PM and 6 PM and eating bigger meals with a bit more fat to keep me full. I don't think 2 days off (still not eating meat even on off days) will ruin my sway and I just get too starving and miserable during AF to keep the strict diet.

    I usually eat 600 calories each meal, so I dont think I could really eat any more! I am hungry 2 hours after I eat and it is so difficult not to eat, even drinking doesn't help!

    I feel the same right around af.so just let myself go and cheat for a couple of days instead of driving myself insane

    Then it's time for a planned cheat. Go ahead and have an extra meal or snack during this time period. The reason you're hungry is because your body senses that it needs a bit extra and you should give it that, without going overboard.
