zanacal - that fruit crumble sounds yummy! I made something similar to that when my in-laws were here...maybe I should make it again as a treat!

That's a great idea - maybe I'll try that with my brother at the cottage! I realised that my kids will need to eat dinner early anyway since he doesn't eat until 7 or so, so I will just eat with them.

Congrats DM and OotB for making it through your first morning without breakfast!

DM - I think you need to leave room in the diet for treats that are very important to you, and your morning tea does not sound that bad at all. That's why I still snack at night - I NEED that to keep me happy - I always look forward to eating something while I watch tv. I just make sure I snack on something girl-friendly, like strawberries or frozen yogurt.

That's convenient having a vegetarian sister swish! I'm going to a friend's house for dinner at the beginning of August and she won't even let on what she's cooking - I'm pretty darn sure it will include meat though! I feel better about it knowing that we probably won't ttc until my September cycle. I'll just eat as little of the meat as possible and maybe offer to take a salad! Luckily we haven't been invited to any BBQs lately as the weather has been too crap!

My brother's coming for a visit tomorrow and staying overnight. He's vegetarian, so I'm hoping I can get away with ordering in some thin crust pizza or vegetable curry (he loves Indian food, so this is a distinct possibility).

    Sounds good, mocha!
Weather has been rubbish, so much rain! I've also avoided otter people's houses by suggesting eating out, st least you can choose a best fit option!
Both my sisters are veggie and both have 2 boys and 1 girl, I think one got a girl because she conceived month after miscarriage and other lost a bit (not a lot and certainly not lowest adult weight!!) before conceiving. I also think latter sister's dh is less fit than he used to be, don't know if that made a difference. Didn't seem like the meat was an issue, both eat very healthily!

FWIW, I was eating a veggie diet when I concieved DS#1 and I was all vegan for a whole year leading up to the conception of DS#2 so don't feel like it'll break your sway if you have a bite of meat here and there, especially if it'll keep you on the diet as a whole.
