    Yesterday (Mother's Day):

    10am rice milk coffee

3pm 2 mini vegetarian spring rolls & half a croissant with cheese.

7pm dinner made by DS1 - pork cutlet in a cranberry & white wine sauce with mashed cawliflower, green beans & broccoli. Sara Lee salted caramel pudding & tablespoon of double thick cream.

Plus about half a bottle (or more) of white wine.

    1400cals 41g fat 23g protein.

Should have skipped the pudding. 😕

I’m a day late posting this, couldn’t be bothered yesterday! LOL.

7:30am – coffee & milk (in my new mother’s day mug beautifully painted by my 5 year old)

8am – one egg on one slice of dry toast (they were desperate to give me breakfast in bed)

12:30pm – a paw paw from my neighbour’s tree (I live in the tropics) & a bliss ball, plus a Coke Zero.

6:30pm – Vegan “not-fried” rice (just boiled rice with veggies & low sodium soy sauce stirred into it) & some dairy free chocolate mousse which my boys & husband made for mother’s day. Diet tonic water & a couple of wines later.

All in all I tried my best & I’m actually pretty happy with how I went considering it was mother’s day!!

    1400 cals approx.

Hope everyone else had a lovely Mother’s Day.

Right so we arrived back home at 530am yesterday. On holiday I skipped breakfast once through choice as I was so full from the night before! So that was one day where I did a 16 hour fast but the rest of the week we ate breakfast around 9ish, lunch at 1ish and dinner at 9ish. Sometimes I had 2 lunches eek (like a salad around 12 and then a pizza around 3)... for breakfasts I focused on carbs, so fruit, breads, waffles, pancakes with heaps of nutella/honey and I would have had about 3 coffees. Lunches was fish, salads, veggies but then I would have a plate of cake afterwards he he. Dinners were massive. I hardly ate meat through choice, the fish was amazing. The meat I did have was more of a taster in something from the buffet or what DH was eating. I had veggie pizza a few times at lunch and that was delish too. So all in all I loved my food on holiday but have had twinges of worry because I didnt do long fasts overnight, I ate heaps of calories and heaps of fat. At least I drank alcohol every day so hopefully that helped

2.00pm - salad leaves, beetroot, pot of waitrose chargrilled vegetable soup
4.00pm - was hungry so had 5 poppy & sesame seed crackers with brie
8.00pm - slim pasta, heaps of steamed tendersteam broccoli, some sundried tomato and garlic pesto, bit more brie and some cheddar. 2 massive pieces of birthday cake, half a bottle of sauvingon blanc

approx 1600 cals, 75g fat oops 47%! and 40g protein

Hey ladies. I'm considering stopping logging my food. I'm wondering if it's too much of a Martha thing for me. Putting it all into MyFitnessPal even seems very detail focused. I'm also considering whether or not to use OPKs or just DTD every four days as I'm BF so have not had a cycle yet and am worried I'll obsess over it. I don't want to regret anything though if we get another boy!

Today has been shocking as we have nothing in our house to eat and my veggies were mouldy!! And DH was so late home that I gave up waiting for him to go get something so I only had toast for dinner!!

10am rice milk coffee, toast with cheese.

4pm a few corn chips (Doritos) that the kids were eating and one cocktail frankfurt (I was starving).

    7:30pm toast with margarine.

And I'll have a hot choc and a pop tart.

Low on cals, fat & protein but still bloody high in sodium!! 😕

hi weezie - it depends on how it makes you feel i guess. I usually input the weeks dinners into MFP when I am doing my online shopping and it helps me not to overorder. I have the same 'breakfast' during the week so thats already programmed in. So all i have to do then is the lunches fitting in with the totals and again I have pretty much the same/similar things so its all programmed in. Its more of a routine task and it helps me not to feel guilty if I want chocolate or a flapjack on one day and find that its still within totals. Otherwise I might overthink having it, or stress about it.

Regarding this thread, I see this as helping others and stealing ideas also, which is more of a fun thing than a martha thing? My opinion anyway. If you feel the logging brings out your inner martha then definitely stop.

If you havent had a cycle yet then I think the every 4 day method is better than OPKs. You can save your OPK for when your cycles come back. That long cycle I had of 95 days was miserable and I took loads of OPKs then stopped as it was getting too much. Just my opinion. You probably do right to be relaxed in all areas including the logging.
