    Marathon running and TTC pink...

So I'm thinking I would like to run a half marathon. Not any time soon, but I want to start training. I don't know ANYTHING about doing that. I was thinking or running with weight belts/ankle weights, but would that be counterproductive to my sway efforts?

Should sway pink! Stay away from the weight belts, swaying notwithstanding they have been shown to cause injuries and even when not directly to blame, they make changes in your running stride that may make you more prone to being injured in the long term.

I didn't think about changes in stride. That's super important, isn't it? I literally know NOTHING about marathon running! I just figured if I trained with weights, when it came time to run a real marathon, it would seem easy! You probably just saved me from hurting myself! Thanks!

    Marathon running and TTC pink...

You're better off doing the running training without weights but you should also do different sorts of runs (long runs, sprints/hills intervals and timing runs). And then can also do a weights training session.

I can give you some info if you'd like (I used to be a PT and trained many coach potatoes to their first half marathons &#128522

Mumofsix: YES, PLEASE! Thank you, thank you, thank you! Any tips you can give me are greatly appreciated!
I would really like to try to run a half marathon someday (maybe in a year, if TTC doesn't happen).
DH is going to start running with me, in the hopes that it will help sway pink (read that men who run 30-50 miles a week have more girls).

DH running does sway pink and it's one of the better proven things from a well done study.

oh and if you go that route, I would be careful with any of the other tactics like tighty whites, hot bath, and even frequency. will lower odds of conception too far

Mum of 6: you should do a thread on here about training for a half marathon! My friend really wants me to do one with her and I know it'd be good for my sway (and my body in general, lol) but Im scared!!
