It's still sinking in, probably take until I give birth and beyond to feel real. But now it's happening I feel a little out my depth. I want to make the most of my last baby and longed for daughter ... Any advice on things to do to prepare? Things to make sure I do? Make the most of it!? Help it sink in and feel realxx

When I *thought* my last was my last I felt the need to make all these things I hadn't taken the time to do with the others- crocheted cute hats/props for photo shoot, a crochet stuffed monkey lovie, made a carseat canopy, even my own hospital gown, lol! I thought it made everything feel special. You could make her some cute little headbands, something like that! I wish I'd made more things for my girls as there's a lot more options for girly hats! I've made things for them since but it's so much cuter in newborn size.

I don't really know apart from the general baby things. I'm really weird about buying stuff until I'm at a certain stage. What about personalised stuff for her?

Babybeaublue I know what you mean. I bought some things when I found out via the harmony test, then I got cold feet about it being right and worried they'd have to go back! Then I realised I'm still quite early to be buying stuff for the baby yet . Think I'll just virtual shop til at least I'm past 20 week scan. That's the next big hurdle. Plus making sure she's healthy. And still a girl
Need to decide on a name, feeling the pressure as I want it to be pretty but not babyish and it's proving difficult as dh is expecting a big say in it!! Xx

She will have chubbier legs than your boys so don't buy tons of baby leg warmers like I did! She couldn't wear any of them!
(I saw a pic of myself at the same age and I too had chubby legs!)

Haha! I bought 3 pairs of those leg warmers too Atomic! I didn't buy a tonne of stuff. And I'm not a pink frilly person. So that stuff wasn't a big deal for me. I actually prefer clothes in the boys aisle to the girls! I was more excited about having a singleton pram/stroller rather than the huge ungainly twin one!
However, the thing I'm glad I did the most was kind of girly. I had a photographer (a mum friend of a friend who was starting up a new business) who took some newborn pics after we'd been home a few days. She came to the house, heated one of the bedrooms that had good light up so it was unbearably warm and she could comfortably photograph the baby without her being cold or waking up. She bought lots of cute props so I didn't need to buy anything though we did use some of stuff I had - a string of pearls, a favourite scarf, the teddy her nanna bought for her. The shots are beautiful. It needn't cost a fortune if you find someone starting out. And i got some great shots with the boys, DH and I too. It cost about A$300.
I didn't do these shots with the twins it was all too difficult. Wish I had.Step(17)

I bought lots of baby girly headbands. I love them... they make every baby girl look like a girl. No one ever questions if it is a boy or a girl with a headband with a cute bow or flower on it. I also did the nursery in a light lavender/purple and I made lots of the nursery items (the rug, curtains, Boppy cover, etc.) since it is kind of hard to find stuff in purple (everything is pink). I have really enjoyed all the little girly things that I couldn't put my boys in. I don't think she has every worn anything gender neutral
