It's harder then I thought...not because of "dont eat" but "what to eat and to combine"...
TishtashTosh, we are in the same boat. Started my le diet today and will sway in August.
My family puzzle is complete now 💕
    Thank you Atomic! 😍

Purchased the plan last week so hope to get it this week some time.... In the meantime plan to start the LE diet tomorrow.

I'm planning to go veggie and stick to Atomics guidelines to protein/fat etc. I don't eat wheat so pasta and bread not for me. Could do with losing a couple of stone and plan to stick around 1200 calories as any more and I know from past experience I won't lose weight. Will log using MFP.

I am English but live in France where wheat free and veggie products very hard to find so I am super jealous of all the stuff you Uk ladies can get so easily!
Good luck! The French are definitely not low fat vegetarian eaters! When I've been there I've often found rye and buckwheat flours easy to get hold of which you could make flatbreads from etc. Also I found gluten free products in large Leclerc stores x

yesterday - did my best but was feeling horrendous with cold and hayfever
520am - coffee with whole milk
9.00am - sachet of nescafe cafe menu latte
12.00pm - birleys sarnie of mozzarella, tomato, basil and pesto on rosemary foccacia. Waitrose essential side salad, red cabbage slaw, small amount azduki salad.
1.00pm - a banana, some raspberries, blackberries and some waitrose wholemilk natural live bio yoghurt
7.30pm - whilst cooking, I had a little brie and pretzels
8.00pm - white fresh spaghetti cooked with garlic, anchovies, chilli, basil and tendersteam broccoli. Was full but couldnt resist a few pretzels dipped in nutella. Didnt have many, was quite restrained actually.

    approx 1660 cals, 64g fat, 58g protein

LOL - yes generally they dont undersatnd being vegetarian and I have vegan friends who have been served chicken!

Most of the large supermarkets do gluten free products but only on a tenny tiny shelf.... and they taste like cardboard - you have to live in a big city to get anything nice :-( Thankfully there are little bio shops springing up which do different flours.

I think I am going to just have to be a terrible expat and pay one of those companies who will bring a British shop to Europe!

Gosh I would kill for a local waitrose like StephK right now!

Today is not going to be a good day anyway as have been up all night on the loo.... so far havent even managed to face a cuppa :-(

So I have thought about this and I cant go on feeling restricted. I have no problem whatsoever sticking to the daily 14-16 hour fast (I do technically cheat wtih coffee but dont see that as cheating), I have no problem eating mainly vegetarian and I am enjoying what I am eating. I just feel (and this is self imposed of course!) that this military precision target sometimes holds me back mentally, just like the BD every 4 days it was getting too much and as soon as I gave myself permission to BD whenever I felt like it, it was all OK again. Last week when I decided to have time off the diet, well I wasnt far off at all really was I, so if all it takes is to give myself permission to relax and not meet the guidelines I might feel a bit better.

So - I might post my eating here, I might not, I dont want to confuse other people. My targets are still going to loosely be 50-60g protein a day and 30% fat, around 2000 cals but if one or more of these is over then I am not going to worry about it. The meals I now eat are second nature, I input stuff into MFP as I am doing my shopping and its more about being organised than anything else.

I will still be stalking this thread regardless of whether I post or not though!!

Sounds sensible to me. I'm still managing on the LE diet but pretty stressed today about it. I'm currently trying to convince DS3 that taking a sippy cup of formula at bedtime rather than my booby milk isn't me being evil but actually not very different! He's nearly ten months now and I've had to put him to bed every night since he was born!!!! I love BF but I would like to be able to go out occasionally and let someone else do it. He's such a smiley sunny boy but is not happy at all with this change. I hate putting him to bed so upset. It's not something I'm used to at all. Makes me feel a bit sick listening to it! Which I guess is the point! Oh well. He'll have to put up with it I guess

stephk - I'm so sorry about AF this month! You definitely need to do whatever it takes on the diet so you don't drive yourself insane. I'm hoping (selfishly) that exercise sways more than diet anyways. I have cheated plenty on the diet but I haven't cheated on my exercise, sounds like you go above and beyond in that department!

weezie - I started formula at night with my LO when he was 9 months old, too. The constant BF 24/7 was getting too much for me. We did have to try 3 formulas before we found one he actually liked, maybe that's part of it? Also, can you have DH put him to bed with the formula ? My DS always hated taking bottles from me but didn't mind taking them from DH at all. GL, I know it's a really hard transition!

Thanks BlueBonnet. I bought a lactose free formula as we've a few food intolerances in our family so I don't know if there's another brand I can try. I think it's more the latter though and the problem is just me doing it. He can't really be hungry as he always eats a great tea so I think he just wants me. DH never gets home in time to feed him but I've asked my mum to come over tomorrow and try and put him to bed. Pretend I've gone out. I imagine he'll cry loads but we shall see. A large glass of wine with a huge vegetable stir fry has helped my mood
