I became curious and decided to read some boy sways on IG and was shocked to see so many women taking 5000 mg of Sodium a day plus BSD! That can't be good! I know the recommended sodium intake per day is 1,500 mg per day which many Americans exceed daily; my question is, is 2,000-2,500 mg or less acceptable for a boy sway? Thanks in advance!

Sodium Intake

I ate over 5000 mg of sodium a day (just in diet, not supps. LOVE my salt!) and I got a girl with my sway. I think the "sodium sways blue" theory is going the way of the dinosaurs.

Thanks Lilith. I average 2500 or so myself and I'm hoping it isn't going to make or break my sway!
Beck - I'm not sure on the current blue advice, but I absolutely wouldn't touch sodium supplements and would just eat as much salt as I wanted as a blue swayer.

NO it can't and I really really really don't recommend that at all.
We are getting better results without the sodium and I really really advise against more than 3000-4000 mg sodium for TTC a boy. I don't think sodium sways anyway and if you're at 2500 mg I am fine with that and have seen tons and tons of pink sway opposites (wanted girls, got boys) with people limiting sodium to lower levels, including my own 4th son.
ABOVE ALL ELSE anyone who is of Sub-Saharan African heritage, you MUST NOT follow those ridiculous sodium recommendations for TTC a boy. You carry a gene which makes you retain higher levels of sodium in your body than other ethnic groups and eating too much sodium can cause your blood pressure to skyrocket and KILL you.!!!
