After all the reading I have done and looking at my failed sway before I am really believing in the low testosgerone and low glucose level aspect of swaying. I have been on vitex ans saw palmetto for the hormone aspect and on the low everything diet for the other. I eat everyday (the same)
Wake up at 5am
Eat lunch at 12pm
-slices of lowcal/low salt bread
-dab of unsalted butter
-strawberries with tons of equal
Dinner around 5pm or 6pm
-2 servings of calcium pasta
-lil bit of parm and ms. dash
-3 mini cupcakes (hostess 100 cal snack)
I get about 920 cals a day, 29 grams protein, 400mg of salt.
I plan on not eating my dinner on Day 11, two day cut-off atempt after 14 days abstain in hopes of having low glucose levels for attempt. I was going to eat regular on Day 12, then fast on Day 13 which is Ovulation day and my O+12 if I decide to throw that in.
I guess I have been reading that pasta and breads make glucose levels high...am I messing up here? Please give advise as my attempt is coming up, I am on Day 5 now.
Thanks!

Hi Emmy!
I think white bread and white pasta will make your glucose levels high initially but then they'll take a nose dive - so if you're eating pasta for dinner (which you are!) then you're going to have low blood sugar during the night (when you're asleep so it won't bother you!) and throughout the whole morning if you're not eating again until lunchtime.
Your calories/protein/sodium are so low and you're only eating twice a day so your body should already get the message that 'times are hard' and your blood sugar should already be low. I would just keep on doing what you're already doing throughout your attempt - I think the important thing is to stick with it in the 2ww and not specifically at the moment of your attempt/ovulation. This also seems the simplest, less stressful thing to do!2005

You don't need to fast and in fact I think you have room to add a bit more food if you woudl like to. Your body is already getting that "times are tough and a girl has a better shot at survival" signal.
The thing that confuses people about pasta and bread is that initially, yes, they do make your blood glucose levels rise but then your body releases insulin which drastically reduces your blood sugar, even lower than they were to begin with. You will recognize that feeling as a "blood sugar crash" and it's pretty unpleasant!!
I don't think you need to change a thing (other than eating a little bit MORE), just keep doing what you're doing and you are in a good place for TTC pink!!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

I am trying to keep my calories between 800-1000 is that too low? I am due to O in 5 days so i am trying to be extra good. Do you think fasting on ) day si good to keep levels down constantly? Or maybe eat only eggs that day to keep it down. I just do not want it to spike on O day in hopes of keeping it down might help. Any thoughts, am I crazy? LOL the diet can dotht to ya!

NO do not eat eggs on O day or any day if you can help it. If you don't get pg, you just gave your body a big supply of cholesterol to make testosterone from.
I don't think it's necessary to fast on O day. It is ok for your blood sugar to go up temporarily, that is normal. You just want it to be on the low side for most of the day.
I do think that 800-1000 calories is not enough and I would like to see you at more like 1200-1500 but you know your body best. For now, since you'll O in 4 days just stay at the lower caloric intake and I would pull out all the stops and try to get pg this month. Don't mess around too much with timing and go light on the jellies.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!
