I'm so sorry if this is a stupid question, but I'm confused and can't se to fond an answer I understand by using the search option...
How exactly would lowering sperm count sway pink? What's the theory behind that? I'm thinking of using spermicide in my sway, because I've read on here that it is a good way to lower sperm count.
I'm confused though, because it seems to me that if sperm concentration is 50/50 xx/xy, wouldn't things like spermicide just reduce both, not one more than the other? Is this based on the idea that XX sperm are heartier? I thought that was debunked? Or am I just confusing things?

We don't know why! There is no theory to my knowledge.
My Ovulation Chart currently TTC, Cycle #16 since last BFP
TTC #1- swaying pink on & off since Nov 2013 - hoping for a girl first but excited for either!
Dec 2001 - May 2006 : 5 early abortions of healthy singletons (3 medical @5w, 2 surgical @8w, last 4 pregnancies conceived with late DH, all conceived while TTA/on birth control)
Mar 2012: miscarried B/G twins @5w (conceived 2 cycles after remověng Paraguard copper IUD while NTNP), one twin was ovarian ectopic
Me: 34, widowed, late O + short LP, normal-good hormone levels excepting undetectable testosterone, seeking a known sperm donor/life partner
My sway: vegetarian LE for over 28w, skipping breakfast, fibre (ground psyllium husks) with/before/between meals, physically inactive, drama avoidance, ocassional minimal YesBaby lube as needed, alternate cycles on low dose Clomid, double shot lattes (with meals)
Past sway tactics I've dropped (in order): Vitex, Sudafed, antihistamines, intermittent fasting, one attempt per cycle at positive OPK, one attempt in fertile period

For some reason we do not know, everything that lowers sperm health and quality and numbers, both before and after they leave DH's body, seems to sway pink. We don't know why. I have my own theories, including that there is some primitive communication between X and Y sperm and that if there are a lot of them, the Y capacitates while the X stays dormant, or that the slightly different size of the X vs. Y may confer some benefit between the two when it comes time to fertilize an egg (it may be a slightly larger cell can get through the egg shell with less help than a slightly smaller one, since it takes many more than one sperm to fertilize the egg). But it's just speculation, we don't know.

One sperm can't make it through the eggshell alone. It takes several working in concert.
Also forgot to mention in the above reply that there is a new study that indicates conditions in the Fallopian tubes may change to favor X vs. Y and we don't know why that happens, it may be that sperm numbers has something to do with that.!!!
