Mrs. Ingram - have you been on the diet long? My ewcm is nearly gone after being on the diet for months.

Nope. Haven't started it yet. I'm currently doing a weight loss specific diet, because I know that losing a bunch of weight before getting pregnant is very pink (and I would love to lose 60 pounds, but 80 would be "ideal" for my size). Right now I'm doing low-cal, super low-carb, and a fair amount of protein with herbal drops. I will have switched to LE for about 3-4 weeks when we TTC. Do you think that will hurt our chances? My priority for right now is to lose a fair amount of weight before TTC, so I hope I'm not shooting myself in the foot here.

I've always been a big low carb/high protein person (and think it's the "healthiest" way to lose weight). I was against the LE diet at first, but I've lost 25 lbs on it (and I didn't have very much to lose, I could have easily lost much more if I had more to spare). I would switch to LE style weight loss 6 weeks minimum (ideally 12) before your attempt because it's the low fat and low protein that sways much much more than the weight loss itself.

I am doing low-fat, that and calories are the two biggest aspects of this diet. But, I'm only getting around 60ish grams of protein per day. Isn't that within LE guidelines?

Anyone else have any insight about my plan or my question about douching (just in case the diet doesn't reduce my amount of CM - I want to be prepared for any situation)?

Sorry it's hard to comment on your specific dietary plan without knowing more details, but I would focus on trying LE (maybe PCOS style for you?) 6 weeks out from your attempt. I'm not sure if you are currently eating meat, but I think the low protein/vegetarian aspects of LE definitely sway pink. Douching isn't recommended, but some girls use refresh/replens/acijel. I think zyrtec + veggie diet reduces EWCM enough for most people and honestly you do need SOME EWCM to even get pregnant so I don't think eliminating 100% of EWCM is the goal here.

Perfect!! Thanks, ladies. I'm just worried because I know we cannot afford a personalized plan and this is our last try for a girl of our own...

Looks great, I'd skip the abstain since he is walking so far.

I never guess at people's odds of success! Will just wish you the best of luck.
