Newbie here TTC girl- made my 1st attempt- please advise!

    Newbie first girl sway!
This is my August girl sway:
Me 33 yrs, DH 35 yrs.

Daily ca+ mg supp & daily Cranberry supp 1 mo prior
Pre natal vits (stopped 1 w bf attempt since it sways boy)
    LE diet for 2 weeks
Lost 4.5 lbs in 2 weeks bf attempt
Low salt intake 1 mo bf
    Antihistamine on day of attempt
    DTD once day of +OPK
    Abstained 7 days prior attempt
Hot shower before DTD for both of us
    Jump & dump
No exercise except long walks on weekends
    Alcohol daily 1 wk prior

DH started taking OLE 2 days bf attempt
DH is currently on parental leave with DS
DH does not work out, he has gained weight during the last year
    Alcohol daily, occasional smoking

Plus the weather has been very hot for the last month.

I would be very surprised if I get pg this attempt since I have discovered I have a luteal phase of only 7-11 days. All though I did get pg on the 3rd try with DS, but I don't know what my LP was then.

I am considering starting Vitex if it turns out to take longer to conceive.

Would love any input on my 1st sway attempt!

2 failed sway due August 2015

Might try to conceive a DD through IVF/pgd in the future

IF it were me...I would not attempt until I had been on the diet a bit longer...2-3 months. I take Vitex, saw palmetto and folic acid...nothing else. No prenatals or other supplements/cranberry. I DTD once as well at pos OPK with antihistamine in the days leading up to and an hour or so before BD. I am a couch potato too because I just can't commit to 6 or 7 days of 60 mins plus. I know others will chime in on this too GOOD LUCK TO YOU!!

    Thanks for your input!
Well I know it's a bit soon but in the end I'm scared that I'll regret not trying to conceive sooner if I end up having a hard time getting pregnant so that's why I decided start this month all ready.

    What does saw palmetto do?

May I ask how many attempts have you made so far?

    Good luck to you too!!

I would wait at least a month before TTC, so the vitamins/supplements have time to leave your body and so you have more time on the diet. I agree 2-3 months would be even better. But if you really want a girl specifically, wait a month (or more). If you just want to get pregnant ASAP, then you can try right away. Everything else sounds great.

    My Ovulation Chart
currently TTC, Cycle #16 since last BFP

TTC #1 - swaying pink on & off since Nov 2013 - hoping for a girl first but excited for either!

Dec 2001 - May 2006 : 5 early abortions of healthy singletons (3 medical @5w, 2 surgical @8w, last 4 pregnancies conceived with late DH, all conceived while TTA/on birth control)
Mar 2012: miscarried B/G twins @5w (conceived 2 cycles after remověng Paraguard copper IUD while NTNP), one twin was ovarian ectopic

Me: 34, widowed, late O + short LP, normal-good hormone levels excepting undetectable testosterone, seeking a known sperm donor/life partner
My sway: vegetarian LE for over 28w, skipping breakfast, fibre (ground psyllium husks) with/before/between meals, physically inactive, drama avoidance, ocassional minimal YesBaby lube as needed, alternate cycles on low dose Clomid, double shot lattes (with meals)
Past sway tactics I've dropped (in order): Vitex, Sudafed, antihistamines, intermittent fasting, one attempt per cycle at positive OPK, one attempt in fertile period

I would also wait a few more weeks to make sure the vitamins (ca/mg, cranberry, prenatal) are out of your system. I'd also add fiber before every meal for you as it's getting really good results and helps absorb the nutrients/fat in your food. Personally I wouldn't add the saw palmetto or vitex as both are not getting as good results and often mess up your cycle. I'd add licorice root for DH though (CD1-CD14). I wouldn't worry about salt intake as it doesn't seem to matter.
Me: 35 years old. Was an infant nanny and birth and postpartum doula. Now a full time SAHM.
DS1: Aug 2003 (my first home birthed water baby!)
DS2: May 2009 (my second home birthed water baby!)
    Oct 2014
July 2016: Laproscopic surgery to remove a ping pong ball sized endometrioma on left ovary and 3 pea size fibroids on outside of uterus. Hysteroscopy to remove one larger "penetrating fibroid" inside uterus.
Oct 2016: Heartbroken after DH's vasectomy. Looks like my dreams of a daughter are gone.

Thank you! What kind of fiber should it be?

Some use Chitosan and a lot of us use Metamucil. I use the sugar-free Metamucil since it is sweetened with aspartame. They both do the same thing (absorb fat/nutrients).
