Probably, since 11th week genitals just started to form, so at 13th week doctor can say something but there is 50% of risk that it is a mistake but still we will go) since 15th week ultrasound result can be more exact but we don't want to wait till 15 weeks) we clearly understand that will know nothing exact but still it will be the first our ultrasound like this) as for the most exact result I've read that male gender is easier to see and it can be done at 18th week and female gender only at 20-25 weeks.

There are different sides of this question, some say it is ok, some say know. So, as I understand ultrasound is a high sound that it is beyond human perception. This conventional sound waves as a talk or music, for example, but the oscillation frequency of these waves is higher than the human ear can hear. Like any sound, it penetrates through the obstacles, partly reflected from them. Ultrasonic device emits a signal, and it is reflected (giving echo) from different tissues with different force, it is an echo and recorded, becoming a picture. Effects on the fetus due to these sound waves. It is unlikely that the embryo can not hear them, it has no ability to hear high-pitched sounds. I must say that up to 16-17 weeks, the organ of hearing does not sufficiently developed, in order to hear at least some sounds. Often during the survey can be seen as the kid turns away from the sensor, but it has more to do with his pressure on the abdominal wall, than the influence of ultrasound on the fetus.
