Christi,
Fertile Focus is an aid to help let you know when you are approaching ovulation. Its a microscope where you put saliva and as you progress during your cycle you will see crystallization which means you are approaching ovulation.

Hey lovelies!! Just chiming in to say congrats Christi and sorry anyone moving onto next month. HEAPS of us took a while to conceive when I was TTC, some bang first time others got BFP after 4,5,6 cycles.I deft. dropped stuff as I went along especially what atomic refers to as background noise like zyrtec, jump and dump, peppermint tea etc. don't give up hope it will happen and you will see two line! In the meantime have a large drink and food of choice!! Good luck all XX

I agree. I like to choose to have a cheeky day though, so I can look forward to it and enjoy doing it, rather than eat too much by mistake! I enjoyed my veg fajitas and wine with our friends last night but also had a little apple strudel and custard. Yum! Today we took them out for lunch before they caught a train home. I had a veggie burger in a bun with no mayo and a small portion of fries. Also had a spoonful of DH's icecream! Yummy. So tonight I'm back on the LE wagon. Planning on finishing the last two Weight Watcher's wraps with some veg and salad. I'll let DH finish the strudel and custard!
I've been staring at the one FRER I have in the drawer, wondering when to bother using it. But decided yesterday to order some more internet cheapies as I think I want to test again soon. I had high hopes for September so my October hopes aren't great nowI'm not usually pessimistic but we don't want to conceive in November again (DS2 and DS3 are mid August birthday - two days apart) so if we miss out on a BFP in October, we'll have to skip a month. It'll be hard to do LE then.

I agree scheduling cheat meals. I had a three cheat meals this cycle, so now I am tightening up!!
I am having a hard time. I am disappointed that I didn't get a BFP this cycle. If October is not my month, I too will have to decide if we are skipping November, since DS1 was conceived then.
I am stressed, tired, and not very hopeful for this cycle. DS2 is sick again, and I am coming down with it too. I was sick this time last cycle, and BFN.
On the bright side, I don't eat much when I am sick and tend to lose weight! I am also looking forward to Halloween, since DS2 can enjoy it now that he is older.
Thanks for listening!

XXforhubby don't skip a month because your son was conceived that month , if its because you don't want lots.birthdays etc in one month than by all means skip away! I just think it barely sways and you don't really want to be on LE for any longer than you have too! Just my advice take it with a grain of salt X

After 7 months on the diet and having skipped 3 months for different reasons (didn't want Christmas/New Years baby, etc) I'd say DON'T skip! I really wanted to get pregnant back in May or June so that I'd go through the horrible morning sickness stage when the kids were out of school and I didn't have to get up super early, drive carpool, etc. It didn't happen though and my best friend (who swayed with me) said I probably wouldn't get pregnant till September, which is when I got pregnant with DS2. She said my body probably just likes getting pregnant then (fall/winter). She was right, and here I am with pretty much the exact same due date that I had with DS2 (May 29th this time, May 31st last time)! I give birth in my 38th week so looks like I'll be birthing right on DS2's birthday! Definitely NOT what I wanted but oh well!
Me: 35 years old. Was an infant nanny and birth and postpartum doula. Now a full time SAHM.
DS1: Aug 2003 (my first home birthed water baby!)
DS2: May 2009 (my second home birthed water baby!)

July 2016: Laproscopic surgery to remove a ping pong ball sized endometrioma on left ovary and 3 pea size fibroids on outside of uterus. Hysteroscopy to remove one larger "penetrating fibroid" inside uterus.
Oct 2016: Heartbroken after DH's vasectomy. Looks like my dreams of a daughter are gone.

At times I have thought about skipping a month due to some ttc issues out of my control and waiting for meds to work. So glad I didn't though. We officially started ttc April of this year and I am still waiting on a bfp 6 months down the track

My gender dreaming success arrived safe July 2015.He is a complete dream come true and an absolutely beautiful little boy.
A huge thank you to Atomic for all her encouragement when I was up against things out of my control and ready to chuck it in. I can never thank you enough. Thank you also to all the other knowledgeable and ever supportive ladies that have helped and encouraged me. I truly believe my dream would not have come true without this site, my boy gender plan and the incredible love and support.
