    Feels like we've failed!

DH and I are trying for a boy this week. We've been trying our best for months to have release every 3 or 4 days but sometimes that doesn't happen because of night shift. We've agreed that this week that we are trying I'll stay up late so we can try. We just can't seem to get in every 3-4 days the last time we DTD was on Thursday! I feel like we have failed this month and ovulation isn't even here. My last cycle I had a +OPK on cd12 and this month that lands on the 8th. I feel like we won't get 3 good attempts around the OPK. If I test Wednesday afternoon and get a positive OPK, I have a hospital shift and he works until 2-3am. Then when to BD next? I'm so stressed!

Do what you can do...if you can get 2 good attempts, then that is better than 1!

I ovulated last week. We got an attempt in on O-1 and O day before that we did a 5 days of EOD...do what you can do and leave the rest to nature/fate/God, etc....

I feel your pain as we are both frazzled students on top of TTC!

Just do your best, its all we can do but life happens and sometimes it doesn't all go to plan. Both my DS s were conceived from one attempt in fertile window with a very HE lifestyle and diet so it can happen X

I am sure you will get a reassuring response from our experts here. Timing doesnt sway. Hope you get PG soon, and get your desired gender.

Just do your best and BD when it's possible.

Keep in mind that lack of sleep isn't great either so you may trade one thing for another. I think I"d err on the side of 2 attempts + sleep. THere's no magic to it - it's just a goal to try for. Remember, you are doing a ton of other things to sway too so don't put TOO much emphasis on the number of attempts if it's just not gonna work for you.

I second atomic's thoughts...get your sleep and see if you can get in 2. Don't beat yourself up, you're doing diet and exercise, that will weigh in heavily

Thank you Ladies. I'm sorry I'm stressing out. I do sleep, I go to bed early like at 9-10 pm, wake up when DH comes home, DTD and go back to sleep. We will keep trying. We DTD last night at 3 am and I got a negative OPK today but I'm feeling cramps. We will see I'm still going strong with my diet and supplements. Thanks again.
