I'm 37 weeks to the day. I've been contracting for the past few hours, nothing regular though. Can this happen and then they just stop and go away? I'm not sure what to do... Ha!

I don't know whats usual were you are. It Could be the first cm dialating. And that Could stop.
I guess I would wait with calling a midwife/hospital till there is more.
I would call by contractions every Five minutes who last a minute or more.
Or when your water breaks..

Yes they can stop. Have had this happen 3x with last night again! Arghhh! But sounds like you're losing your mucous plug so that along with contractions may be

He's here! Sonny Leo Reynolds was born at 37 weeks by c-section last night.... I cannot believe he came so early. I will post some pics when I get a chance to take some good ones.
