Thanks melinda. The Zyrtec didn't seem to do much and I took another one this morning before work and have struggled to stay awake all day - they're not meant to be drowsy but I certainly am! Of course that could be an 'off' day down to some other reason (like lack of nutritious food lol!) but it's a coincidence if that's the case.
The Zyrtec may have helped a little - tmi but I don't feel 'damp' the whole time like I did yesterday but when I check there's no shortage of EWCM, although perhaps a little less EW-y! I will take benedryl on the night of our attempt too but I've read that one really does make you drowsy so I don't want to use it before I have to!
I'm taking the Vitex every day AF-AF this cycle and will stop at O next cycle when we ttc. I don't want to stop taking it all together though because I may not get pregnant on our first attempt (in fact, I think it's unlikely!).

I will probably have to do the same(zyrtec and benedryl), I thought about quiting but then if I conceive and its another boy I will beat myself up with "what if I took vitex would it of been a girl" lol so I am covering everything I know so when I do conceive and its another boy then hopefully I will feel confident that I did my best and tried it all lol

Thanks Atomic. It turns out I only had that 1 day of crazy EWCM anyway. I've had some crampy feelings like I usually get around O but not much at all and I still haven't had a +OPK on cd14 - so I'm happy I have a wonky cycle, yay

... and I'm glad I tried the Zyrtek because now I know to take it when I get home from work and not in the morning!

When ds2 was younger he had bad allergies and then all that snot would go to ears(ended up with eartubes) but after 2yrs of ear tubes and they fell out he was still having the same issue so to prevent a second ear tubes we were trying allergy meds and she said to do zyrtec at night(since she said does cause drowsiness) and then claritin in the morning, and this seemed to work for him, so I was wondering if that would work for me, because I hate benedryl, I been told by several dr that I am not allergic to it but they make my muscles ache and restless and I don't sleep, just very tired and irritable and then ruins the day lol

Ooh yes, that reminds me, I meant to ask about Clarityn. I was going to use Zyrtek in the morning and Benadryl (sold as a sleeping aid in the UK!) at bedtime but I noticed the Clarityn in the supermarket and saw it had a different ingredient - it's Loratadine, which has this description on Wikipedia:
Loratadine (INN) is a second-generation H1 histamine antagonist drug used to treat allergies. Structurally, it is closely related to tricyclic antidepressants such as imipramine, and distantly related to the atypical antipsychotic quetiapine.[1] It is marketed by Schering-Plough under several trade names such as Claritin, and by Shionogi in Japan. Loratadine is available as a generic drug and is marketed for its non-sedating properties. In a version named Claritin-D or Clarinase, the substance is combined with pseudoephedrine, a decongestant; this makes it useful for colds as well as allergies, but adds potential side-effects of insomnia, nervousness, and anxiety.
