As long as we are in a weight loss mode, our bodies will think that times are tough, hence a better enviro to conceive a girl right?

Hi ladies, how are you all? I'm pleased the weekend is here
I'm going out tonight for a meal at a work friend's house, along with 10 other ladies from the office, so am looking forward to that. There's a street market in our town tomorrow so we'll walk to that with the boys in the morning (and I'll have to avoid all the yummy food - but may allow myself a sugar free vanilla latte in Costa Coffee!). I'm loving not doing school runs over the summer holidays, even on the days I have to work it means I can leave later in the mornings and get home an hour earlier.
My 'ovulation' signs have all but disappeared which is very strange! Of course I'm pleased because I didn't feel good about getting back my regular 28 day cycles that I conceived my boys with - but I'm even more happy that it means our one off attempt shouldn't fall on the night we're at Legoland and all sharing a hotel room. That would have been very tricky!2005

So glad the weekend here too, I got a busy day today, I have to take my laptop to bestbuy today the little bit of water that got spilled on my keyboard killed 1/4 of the keys and I believe its been 3 days and they still aren't working, I can't even get into my laptop since its password protected so its useless to me right now lol, waited last minute to go bday shopping for a bday this weekend plus I need to go grocery shopping, hope the boys are in a good mood lol they gotta a lot of boring stuuff to do lol (they absolutely hate shopping because they tell me "its for girls" lol but daddy working so they have no choice *insert evil laugh here* )

Yay, it is Friday. AF has finally left the building and the frequent Bding can start. FX-ed that we have success... Almost feel like this is a 3WW instead of 2ww since this is the start of the TTC! But trying not to stress...

I haven't chatted much about our plans because I'm still waiting to see if our oops resulted in anything...but my DH and I have had a big chat about our TTC plans. A few weeks back when I jumped onto diet band wagon, supps etc and really went hardcore I was starting to become a pretty nasty person. My hubby honestly wants me to do whatever I need to do for this sway but he could see it was eating me away, from the inside, out. I was unsure...then I would have a bad diet day...obsess about messing it up. So, after many nights of tears, a heartfelt discussion with my mom(who I have to say is one person that I would love to have a girl for...she told me that she is ecstatic that I want to have 4 children. She does not care one iota what that baby ends up being. I cried A LOT during this talk as I thought she wanted a granddaughter very badly. She said she wanted me to have a daughter for my sake but that she honestly doesn't care either way
)and really thought about my wants and desires...and the dynamics of my family. SO...all this to say that I'm going to start TTC next month with very minor swaying(timing, etc). I feel really good about it. I will not let myself have GD. I'm actually kinda excited about 4 boys....which is not something I thought I would ever say! It feels nice.
Sorry for the rambling.....but Z....you have a September TTC buddy!!Last edited by DoulaMama; August 5th, 2011 at 01:02 PM.

Sounds like you made a good choice, DM. There's no sense doing the diet if you find it all-consuming and stressful. I don't think I'm going to be able to manage more than another month on it (I've already been on it for 3 months and have lost nearly 20 pounds).
By the way, for those who aren't on the 2WW thread: af arrive late last night, so I'm on CD1. In another week we'll start our frequent BD (sigh...I'm so tired of the daily sex, though dh thinks he won the lottery), and I expect to ovulate around August 18th.
