I Have been ttc for 9 months and found out my tubes were blocked and one is supposedly open. I am trying to figure outwhat in the world caused the blockage. My ob said maybe there was a spasm during the HSG test but I am doubtful because I am not pregnant so something is going on. My DS is only 2. About 6 months after he was born I went in because I was just having discharge but the midwife kind of just said everything was fine. So fast forward to March this year I went in before we were TTC to have an annual and pap and it came back that I had bacterial vaginosis. I would have annoying little cramping throughout the month. Nothing painful though. I took a script and that was it. SO we have been ttc with no luck and I am wondering if bv somehow caused infection. If your PH is high does that indicate infection? Will PH test strips tell me anything? I am terrified something may be wrong and we could never afford IVF. We are doing an at home sperm analysis to hopefully rule that out. Any advice?

Question about PH

you need to have an actual BV test done by your doc or midwife.
If you do have BV your husband may need to be treated too or you run the risk of just passing it back and forth to each other.
I remember you were having some concerns about waht your insurance would cover and if that is an issue, one of the best remedies for BV is for you and DH to eat 1 clove of garlic every day (if you start having bleeding/bruising cut back to every other day), grapefruit seed extract if you can find some, and then just you use some all natural yogurt with active cultures in and around the VJ and have unprotected sex with DH (he does not need to complete the transaction, you're just trying to get the healthy microbes back in charge.) If you're having a lot of discharge you can use Bragg's cider vinegar (not heinz, it has to be the Braggs type) in a ratio of 1 T to 1 liter water as a rinse or douche before applying the yogurt to rinse out any discharge and some of the bad bacteria. This method works better than the medical treatments and is safer.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

I don't really have a whole lot of discharge, i think it is just normal but when I tested positive I never had any symptoms. Just trying to brainstorm as to what could have caused infection.

I personally don't think garlic does a whole lot for swaying. THe old schoolers have it down as swaying blue by raising testosterone, but firstly we don't even know if testosterone even sways to begin with, and secondly one thing alone, i do not believe is a "magic testosterone pill" meaning that ~maybe~ it might help raise T a teeny bit in someone who was lifting weights and eating a musclebuildign diet, but garlic alone does nothing.
