Sorry to hear about your trouble XX. Friends of mine also had trouble getting pregnant and when they did she often miscarried. They saw several doctors but nobody saw anything out of the ordinary. They were advised to just keep trying which they did and eventually they had their healthy baby. A girl offcourse.
Sometimes it's just like that apparantly without a reason
Ik hope it's the case for you too and I guess it will be! You have such positive attitude!
GL!

Thank you Blue-Blue-Pink and Maiden, I am in a much better place. I am thankful I am seeing an RE that is very knowledgeable. I am going to keep the ttc girl philosophy going and leave the rest up to God. I know one thing- my two boys are the greatest gifts that I have been given, and they make me happy everyday. If they are all I am meant to have, well that ain't so bad! I am going to sit back, enjoy my family, and have fun everyday while I wait for the next step(s).
I will keep an eye out to see when you ladies get your BFP's
GL and FX for all of you!!!

Xx- sorry for being ignorant, but what us fsh?
My hcg tests came in today. I took one just to see if it still comes up positive, and it did. Very faint, but definitely a line.... It's an awful feeling, I didn't expect to get so upset from it. Seeing a positive pregnancy test, but knowing there is no baby. I have never wanted a negative test so bad in my life:/.
Does my hcg level have to be back to 0 for my body to ovulate? These tests are super sensitive, they show positive at 10 hcg.Feb. '11

FSH is follicle stimulating hormone. When it is elevated, above 10, it means the body is working real hard to release an egg. Also, it can mean there are few eggs left. We don't think this is the case with me, since I have my two boys that are still so young, and I didn't have a problem conceiving them. I don't quite fit the mold typically seen with high FSH, because I get regular periods, get positive opks, have a LP of 12-14 days, and no symptoms of perimenopause.
We'll see. Waiting for AMH to come back to see if I have good eggs left. FX!!!!
Praying your HCG levels come down quickly Tarasue! If I can't get pregnant, I want all you ladies ttcing to so you can give me your left over baby dust! I need all the help I can get!!!

I made an appointment with an RE because I had not gotten a BFP after 4 cycles ttcing and not using protection for the previous 3 cycles. They did blood work on CD3 of cycle 5 ttcing and that is how they knew.

XX, I got seats in A1, row 24 (lowest row w/ 2 seats together), seats 6&7 (closer to stage side of row). In my past experience with seats at a concert, there were a bunch of empty seats lower down & once the show started I walked down and snagged them. So hoping I can do that, then sell my tix to people for the other 2 days. And I got VIP tix for the festival near me, too. Set me back a bit but I am very excited!
Now what to do for NYE...thinking maybe clubbing in Berlin? Or somewhere in the Netherlands? I feel like I should make the most of my post op & pre pregnancy body while i can. Plus i can troll for potential sperm donors.I wish I could go to Sydney, or London, or even NYC (would be nice to speak English again, it's not easy hitting up men for sperm with imperfect German!), but still waiting on my renewed passport so I can't leave the EU, blah.
So, fun topic while we wait to O. If you were a single, childless, widowed woman of wealth, who would you choose as your sperm donor? Scenario 1, you can pick any man on the planet no matter how famous, married, or gay. Not that we are assuming sex will happen. Scenario 2, the real life way, via websites & friends & chance encounters, no sperm banks - must involve meeting in person. What traits would you look for, which would be dealbreakers?
(Note: being extremely picky, or discriminating as I prefer to call it, makes my search difficult. I have yet to meet my ideal donor, so I'm just going with 'acceptable' at the moment, unless/until I find someone better. )Last edited by maidentomother; December 23rd, 2014 at 10:29 PM.
My Ovulation Chart currently TTC, Cycle #16 since last BFP

Dec 2001 - May 2006 : 5 early abortions of healthy singletons (3 medical @5w, 2 surgical @8w, last 4 pregnancies conceived with late DH, all conceived while TTA/on birth control)
Mar 2012: miscarried B/G twins @5w (conceived 2 cycles after remověng Paraguard copper IUD while NTNP), one twin was ovarian ectopic
Me: 34, widowed, late O + short LP, normal-good hormone levels excepting undetectable testosterone, seeking a known sperm donor/life partner
My sway: vegetarian LE for over 28w, skipping breakfast, fibre (ground psyllium husks) with/before/between meals, physically inactive, drama avoidance, ocassional minimal YesBaby lube as needed, alternate cycles on low dose Clomid, double shot lattes (with meals)
Past sway tactics I've dropped (in order): Vitex, Sudafed, antihistamines, intermittent fasting, one attempt per cycle at positive OPK, one attempt in fertile period

Awesome Maiden!! Hmm. For me, second the personality! So true! Good teeth, height (I wanted my boys to be taller than me), intelligent/successful, good facial features- well balanced structures, gentleness. My DH has a gentleness about him and both DSs are very empathetic for boys.
