Gorgeous baby Adia- I can't guess to sex but would do another U/S if you can swing it. I think the peace of mind is worth it.

We decided on a boy name that I love so I now feel totally prepared to see boy in a few weeks.

we did the same Junie! We prepared everything to hear boy and had it narrowed down to 2 names. It helped prepare us for the possibility and the whole time we told ourselves it was a boy to try an lessen the blow. I think DH had more joyful tears than anyone when they said girl.

Well I finally got my Maternit21 results and I'm very relieved the babies are healthy (at least chromosomally speaking). I also found out they detected a Y chromosome - as I suspected. Unfortunately now I'm in limbo and won't know for another 3 weeks whether there are 2 boys or one boy. I never wanted more than one daughter, so I'm not really that upset that it isn't 2 girls. That being said I'm currently petrified I'm carrying 2 boys. The idea of 3 boys under 3 is terrifying to me! I'm so worried karma is going to damn me to having 2 more boys. After having DS, I got asked many times what I wanted next - I stupidly said many times "anything but twin boys". I could kick myself now because it seems that is my destiny. I feel guilty for swaying pink, guilty for wanting a daugher, and guilty for being terrified of twin boys my entire life. I know I will eventually love them and make peace with it, but right now it's hard. Thanks for listening.

Bluebonnet- don't loose hope yet! There is nothing to say your girl isn't in there also. Ive read numerous times that b/g twins are more common. How long until your next scan??

January 20th. I'll be just over 15 weeks. It's a medical scan so I'm not sure if my doctor will spend the time to find out the genders for me or not. I figure I'll go in for my "free" scan and then if she can't tell the genders I'll go in for an elective scan later that week or the next week. I'm trying not to lose hope that it's b/g twins, but it's difficult. I've always longed for b/g twins and it would seem too perfect to be real.

Hang in there bluebonnet. I think that your situation is one of the hard parts of the blood tests like MaterniT21. You know a little, but not as much as you really want to know.
B/G twins seem to be SUPER common on gender dreaming with those who have swayed. FIngers and toes crossed that their is a little girl in there too!
The unknown is torture in my opinion!

Bluebonnet everyone understands how you must feel and you must not feel guilty! As you say you would make peace eventually once you know for sure but at the moment you are in limbo and not a nice place to be when you so desperately want something and know that one chance has gone already! Keep smiling and as others have said it's more likely to be boy/girl twins try and keep your anxiety levels down and maybe prepare for boy/boy pick names etc. really keeping everything crossed for a little girl for you but how wonderful to have twins regardless of what they are xxx

Adia, sorry I can't be more helpful on the gender guessing, but hopefully you'll find out for sure at your next ultrasound. The wait is a killer.

Bluebonnet, congrats on the healthy babies. I would be going crazy in your position. You know you have one boy, but not whether they are both boys. I hope you have your little girl in there! I think everyone here understands your feelings about gender disappointment. I know I do!! Fingers crossed you have done pink in there too!!
