Last time I attempted this diet, I gained a lot of weight and eventually stopped because of it. I was thinking of taking a more paleo (with dairy) approach this time. Does anyone have any good snack ideas that don't include simple carbs? Last time I would eat whole grain cereal with nuts or peanut butter and jelly with whole wheat bread and that packed on the pounds. Any ideas would help! Thanks!

In the Dream Members section and also in the 21 day diet book there is an essay on "Eating Smarter, Not Harder for Blue" and has tons of tips in that.
WHat I recommend is avoiding grain products and potatoes, and getting your protein and carbs from meat or dairy + fruit/higher carb veg instead, and cutting back on sweet juices in favor of tomato juice, coco water, and lemon water instead. Nuts alone ARE protein + carbs and you can have just some nuts for a snack instead of nuts, cereal, bread, jelly all mixed together, if that makes sense.
Instead of cereal with nuts, eat just nuts
instead of PBJ, have Peanut butter with apple slices!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

I have 2 boys. Snacks I've always eaten (I'm a low carb eater normally and thin, 5'7 and 128lbs):
Nuts-- I like almonds microwaved with a little butter for 1 minute and sprinkled with parmesan cheese and garlic salt.
Roasted and salted pumpkin seeds
Slices of bacon
Beef jerky
Apple slices with cinnamon
Apple slices with peanut butter
Full fat greek yogurt with sliced toasted almonds and mixed berries (I buy them frozen)
Mixed berries with coconut milk, sliced toasted almonds, and unsweetened shredded coconut
KIND Nuts & Spices bars
Kale chips
String cheese
Salami and pepper jack cheese slices
Roasted bell pepper dip with cucumber slices and tomatoes
Slices of ham rolled up with cream cheese
Marinated artichoke hearts
Tuna straight out of the canMe: 35 years old. Was an infant nanny and birth and postpartum doula. Now a full time SAHM.

I'm a mum of 2 boys and something I ate nearly every morning and afternoon tea were vitaweets ( whole grain crackers) with peanut butter. I was addicted.. That is until I started my girl sway. The vitaweets and peanut butter were recommended to me by a gym personal trainer.
