Time to step away from the computer!!!! I have been researching all the boy swaying things, again....just to refresh and get ready for this month. I just need to limit my computer time....I may drive myself nutty if I don't. I didn't think about the G.tea or the gelatin until now. I was brewing my own loose leaf tea, and I think I was making it too strong....it was keeping me up at night. I bought a decaf, but it has peppermint and spearmint....is that okay? I only eat the gelatin once a day (I make it with OJ).
Begonia: We both want a healthy baby the most, but secondly we both want another boy. DH says we need more "farm hands" and the girls help mostly with the house work. Hubby's quote, "If the next one is a girl, it just gives me any excuse to try again." I would REALLY love to re-decorate with my cowboy and idians theme room, too. But, in all honesty....I just want a healthy baby and delivery.
Lola: Dh always wanted to have his swimmers checked out....just so he could brag. If your hubby doesn't blow them out of the water with an awesome count, then there is something wrong. He needs the bring his suitcase of Vits to the appt....just so they know who their dealing withWe are a few hours from Atlanta, Georgia....closest ballet. Maybe this x-mas....while I am preggo.
3pnb: You and B are drving us crazy with not finding out the gender!!! (Although I plan on doing the same thing)
thank you GD

Oh, I'd LOVE to know what they are doing in comparison to us! You are in GA? I'm in SC! I assumed you were in Washington state because of your screen name! I *think* the peppermint is supposed to sway girl somehow.....I don't know why....but maybe save that for pregnancy and get a straight decaf green if you can, or if that bothers you about the peppermint.

Oh wow, WP, I thought you were in Washington State too! Cool that you are over by Atlanta.
It is so exciting that so many people are getting farther along in pregnancies!
I was thinking I would be O'ing this weekend but it's looking like it will be at least Monday if not later. Ugh, that sucks, I am CD 14 already! I used to always O around CD 14. Stupid supps! Oh well. I am thinking to dtd tonight, maybe Saturday morning, and Sunday night (if I O around Monday). If it looks like it will be later than that, I don't know. I am sick of waiting. I can't believe I have been doing this diet since April! I am starting to forget what my "real" diet is like.Tiffany

Jen too funny that your DH is dying to find out this time! Is it because of the sway? This is actually the 1st time DH has had an interest in finding out... but even though he's more curious this time he really wants to wait since I'm willing this time. So glad you're finding out though; that's going to be such fun!
I'm with you Lola; super curious to see how the GD style works as opposed to the IG style. It will be awhile before we have a number of results though. Then we'll be the old ladies on here cheering on a bunch of new swayers, LOL! It will also be interesting to see what new research comes out in the next 5-10 years as it relates to maternal diet and fetal gender. I think the author of the Oxford study was planning a follow-up.
WP I remember the peppermint thing is supposed to sway girl according to IG. I used plain decaf green tea. Although from time to time I got the Tazo green tea at Starbucks and that had mint in it. I doubt it is anything near the amount pink swayers take, whatever it is. What are those FF swayers doing?!?! Dying to know! And super curious if they did any special timing methods! 7 of 10 about matches what the gals I know from IG were achieving and I think that is a great success rate! I think the cowboys and indians theme is so cute. I haven't even thought of what I would do for a boy! I might have to spend some time looking at stuff online to get some ideas :-) A friend of mine did a paper airplane theme that was darling.
BOOO to delayed O Daisy! Oh well ... not such bad timing to get to BD over the weekend though! When does school start for you? And I know what you mean about forgetting your regular diet ... although I will say this 1st trimester mine has been pretty high-carb low-protein which is fairly similar to my pre-girls diet. I don't really feel bad, I just can't seem to get much appetite for things that aren't carb heavy. Today I ate a biscuit for breakfast, noodles for lunch, and am probably having a baked potato for dinner. Blah. I so look forward to getting a normal diet again and am hoping that comes in the next 3-4 weeks.
DD2 is obsessed with Wall-E right now and it's a cute movie and all but good heavens ... I'm so tired of it, LOL!

3PNB - I so wish the hospitals here would cater a bit more to women like myself who want a different experience. There are a few hospitals around here that offer a home birth style birth but not many and too expensive for us. There are still risks such as disease, problems can still occur at hospital, increased c-sections and stuff but I would've done it at the hospital if they offered more of what I was looking for. I also didn't want the Vit. K shots or that stuff they put on their eyes, and I'll need to see if I can get a waiver for that. I also want the umbilical cord to not be clamped or cut until after it stops pulsating. I also want my children to be there again. I will for sure miss the birthing tub though, that was so great.
You get to feel the kicks at 14 weeks? That is so great. I can't feel till 18 - 20 weeks. That's sooo fun and I can't wait to feel a child inside of me kicking, moving and full of life. There's no way DH will go for #6 so remind me to enjoy it!
Kris - are you doing a c-section on purpose?
Begonia - Anything can happen in birth. I used to think differently but it happens every day in home birth and at the hospitals. A reminder to be thankful for healthy babies for sure. LOL! Hormones are such a pain!
