I haven't had the scan yet, just had the bloods done. The NT scan is on Thursday.

Hey ladies can I join you I'm due 29th of Aug but feel I will be a sept date as 3 out of 5 boys I've gone over and the 2 I had on time was only because I was started off as they stopped growing and thank goodness they did they was all 8-9lb babies I'm hoping for a girl as I've 5 boys but I will see in a few months I suppose

I had to leave work and go home today because I was feeling so sick. I had to go and throw up several times at work and was struggling trying to focus on my work. I told my manager I was pregnant and she was supportive and understanding.
I have a dr's app tomorrow for an early scan and will ask her the prescribe something that hopefully works.

Anyone else with severe nausea/vomiting? How do you cope with work?

I feel bad for not working but I seriously can't right now.

You can't cope when you are vomiting....it is best to go home and rest and then when you are feeling better, give it 100% at work.

I think we feel guilty because having a child is a choice so it feels like we have 'chosen' to be bad employees. Reality is regardless of who chose what, we are in an altered physical state and we have to take care of ourselves.

My m/s has gotten worse for the most part. DH wanted me to meet him for lunch one day last week. It took all my effort not to lay my head down on the restaurant table while we were there. I can eat, that eases the m/s a little, but for the most part on my bad days I can't function well at all.

I hope it eases up for you soon. In the mean time, be good to yourself!

Mostly all of my nausea and puking has been a product of dripping sinuses which a lot of people dont even think about. As long as I dont forget my sinus meds or antihistamine I wont get nauseated. smaller meals can help and for some people eating in general helps. In the beginning I knew it was time to eat because i thought i was going to throw up! Pregnancy is always fun that way. Need to eat but too sick to eat lol Hope you start feeling better soon!

Asia: thank you. You are right. It's because I put myself in this situation that I feel guilty. All though I know I shouldn't. I hope I feel better sooner than later!
