Stupid supps indeed! I know, girl. I think you have a good bd plan. Know what, if you guys dtd last night, I'd even wait till Sat night, then do Monday night. Just space it 48 hours apart each time....that is a very good pattern for high sperm count, that is what my doctor recommended actually. If you O on Monday, then you will catch it for sure. Just a thought!

Dude, DO NOT feel silly for one minute....I just really can't imagine how I'd get through a baby's death, and I have intense admiration for those who manage to do so and still be so dedicated to their family, which you obviously are with making sacrifices to homeshchool still and the like. I read what you write and I would feel the same way....I am just keeping HUGE FX that another little man is on the way. I have read that there is nothing quite as healing as having another child. We are all pulling for you!

Morning everyone!
Well, I am supposed to have AF today, and I took that last rapid result day-of-AF test and it was a big fat negatron. So, I am stopping the progesterone today, should have AF later today or tomorrow. Sometimes the progesterone makes it delay a bit. I just stuffed my face with a vat of Cheerios, freakin' breakfast! And here is my fat rant of the day: I see pics of me on FB from the event the other night with snowcones, and I don't even recognize my face anymore! It is SO much rounder! I got super depressed about it. I think this is my new plan: if no bfp in the next 3 tries, then I am going to either A) take the rest of the year off until next summer and lose this weight or B) play with fire a little bit and lose this weight AND continue to ttc, just going to take supps and be super fertility-friendly of course, but will likely go back to old eating and working out habits. That may get me a 3rd girl, but ya know what, at this point, I care less and less every day. And who knows, maybe taking supps and using Clomid and preseed will do the trick and I'll get a boy anyway. WHO KNOWS! I am just so afraid of gaining 40lbs like I always do when pg and topping 200lbs and just being a whale. I will freak out, and I want to enjoy my last pregnancy and not feel like a cow and be paranoid about everything I eat. Anyway, rant over. Thank you for reading!
I was just going to write everyone a comment, and then I totally forgot. And not even taking the Maca, bwahaha!
Oh, Iluv, ITA with you on the hospital not being a great environment for those of us who wish to have what they consider "alternative" births and newborn procedures. I asked them to let me have DD2's cord pulse out, and the said no because she was a meconium baby and needed to go get a checkup right away. (Although, and here is the crazy part: she only had the poo on her neck down, as her head was engaged when she pooped, so HOW COULD IT HAVE GONE IN HER NOSE? I could even tell that by looking at her. But NO, they had to freak and act like she was in a big emergency. Midwife at that! It was "hospital procedure" they told me.) So I agree, *most* hospitals don't accomodate birth tubs (although I know some do now, but you are right, probably private super expensive hospitals) and let you make decisions about the newborn's aftercare. But your story is the kind that makes me think twice about it, just to be on the safe side. I know you aren't anti-HB, but I completely understand where you are coming from. ILuv, what expensive supps do you take while pg?
Flava, THAT'S THE SPIRIT! Hun, we all know very well how you feel, so vent away any time you need! But I can guarantee you that we aren't going to let you think you can't do it, that's what we are all here for, to cheer each other on. Your girls room sounds cute!
Begonia, I LOVE Wall-E, that is one of my all-time fave kids movies. I think it's brilliant how they encorporate the environmental message in there so well for children to understand. I also love UP, I am sure you guys have seen that, it makes me cry like a baby! I cry at movies all the time, though, my DH thinks it's hilarious. I will go from joyous laughter to tears rolling down my face in literally 5 seconds when those humane society commercials come on with the cute sad little puppies and kittens in the cages that are all abused. I can't remember what else I was going to tell you.....
Tink, what's up, lady?? We miss you! Sounds like you are doing well and gearing up, which is great! I am clearly not the one to do an update right now, LOL...I haven't had my coffee yet. But I am NOT pregnant, I can tell you that.
OK, more will come.....

Too funny, with the hypnobirthing thing we've covered the past couple of days ... popped on to CNN.com and they had an article about it on there: http://www.cnn.com/2011/HEALTH/08/12...html?hpt=hp_c2
Flava I think the stripes would be killer to paint! Mine were wallpaper thank heavens! Fun that your girls are getting new floors too, they must be so excited! And I will definitely post my 12 week shots, nub or no nub. Jen's with the little wave got me all excited
Lola, I think your plan re: giving it a few more tries and then losing weight while TTC is a good one. You can't let this take over your life and I know how uncomfortable it is to just not be at your natural, comfortable weight. I think it was PrincessofPink who mentioned Cohen's diet in her sway plan? Did you see that? It's a diet developed by an IVF doc to help women increase fertility while still losing weight. Maybe look into that? Because I totally agree that with this being your last pregnancy you want to enjoy it, and it won't be as easy to do if you just feel yuck. And I think Wall-E is darling! I'm so surprised my 2 year old loves it so much though because the colors are a bit dark and the theme is definitely not easy, LOL! But she just adores wall-e and eve; it really is funny. UP totally makes me cry! And I switch the channels when the SPCA commercials come on, I can't take themWe donate to them in our dogs name though
DD2 just found her baby book and is looking at her newborn pictures with such delight; it's so sweet! I forgot how young DD1 looked then.... precious girls!

Wow, you guys are busy at night....
Flava: Your girls room sounds cute. Do their comforters match? We did red and blue stripes in our boys' room. You are right, it took forever. We ended up putting chair rail half way up and painting the bottom half the blue color. I'll show you a pic if you will show me yours
Begonia: We love wall-e. We don't own it, but it is on our list.
Lola: Sorry about the - . I am CD3, so we can be cycle buddiesDD1 and DS1 about were meconium and both had the aweful suction. My midwife decided to induce me a week early to try and avoid it with the next one (I was 2 wks late with the first two). They induced me 3 times with pitocin and all and he did not come until I was 1 week past my due date and he was not meconium. I forgot to say, I also agree with Begonia....if your unhappy with your body, do what you want to do and still continue TTCing. I think you still have a better than average chance of getting a boy even while dieting.
iluv: We have had the same thing as Lola happen to us. We make requests about after care of the baby and they only do about 50%. Here they did let us choose about the vit k, eye drops, and PKU. But, I still felt uneasy about some of the care the children got.
Kris: Take care of yourself. My cousin had the swine flu last year, they recovered quickly.
Okay....
Yep, I live in GA. I was born in Washington state (my screen name). My parents just sold the last of their property up there. We like Ga, but it has been really hot and dry the past couple years.
I think I will just buy some more green tea without the peppermint...if I am going to obsess I might as well do it right.
supps...
folic acid
prenatal
b-12 complex (I think it is the complex)
zinc
Vit d
Vit e
Potassium
Fish oil
Am I missing anything?
Hubby did notice the extra pills in his box....he just rolled his eyes and kept on tossing them in his mouth. I would like to get some Royal Jelly. why not, right? I think I can fit one more bottle in my shoebox full of pills.
This school year is kicking my butt. I am going to have to rearrange things a bit to fit it all in. Thank goodness this farm work has wound down.
English class here I come.Last edited by WashingtonPromise; August 12th, 2011 at 11:06 AM.

WP, you might can skip potassium pills if you're getting it thru diet... not sure if that would save much $ as I don't know how much that one costs. I think the RJ is pricey though right? But I've heard nothing but good things on that one. I never tried it though.
The boys room sounds cute! Our new house is supposed to be finished in about 3 months and I'm starting to think about what to do in the girls room. I might do bead board on the bottom and then something blue-ish on top since the wall-e and scooby beds both have some blue in them. DD1 has also requested a Batman mural, LOL! I don't know where she got that idea... probably the pottery barn kids catalog with all that superhero stuff.
LOL about if you're going to obsess you might as well do it right. My kinda girl :-)

Oh and I meant to say WP I can't believe they tried THREE times to induce you with pitocin! And it didn't take! Wow ... that baby was NOT ready, huh?!? I had an induction with my 1st and it was cake. DD2 came on her own thankfully, perfect timing too, just 5 hours into the day after her due date and on a Saturday morning... made it easy to find a friend at home to take DD1 for us
Goodness .... I don't know what we will end up doing this time if I'm not induced. It'll be difficult to plan for since we don't have any family around to figure out who can take our kids, especially since DD1 will be in school this year.

WP, looks like you are on the road to being like me and my DH with our "troughs" LOL! Mine does the same...."what is in here now???" and I just give him the look. I would add the RJ and if you want to give it a try, EPO also. I really like EPO, and I think you can't take enough oil supps when swaying boy. It's not expensive, either, and a big ewcm maker for many. But, if the fish oil is doing you enough good, you don't need to add it. I just like the oils because they are healthy. I take flax oil also. And yea, we have had HOTTT and dry summers in our region the last few years for sure! Last summer was horrible for the farmers, did you guys suffer from that draught? We have had some rain in the past month so not so bad right now but it has been 100 degrees for months it seems. I tell ya, I think global warming ain't just some shenanigans made up by Al Gore....
B and WP, thanks for your input on the ttc plans. I am really thinking I might just have to abandon swaying and do a super light sway....I think I can try to keep blood sugar high and all, but I won't be eating lots of heavy meals, probably working out a good bit more. I just can't worry about it. I may be that this weight is inhibiting my getting pg also!
