What brand OPK are people using here?
I have the clear blue fertility monitor. Is that good ?

Also what's the consensus here as far as timing of BD and frequency. I'm a little lost .
With my son I think we either BD once or 2 x during my ovulation.

I will start today easing myself into the diet and exercise, with hope of being ready to go at it hard in February! Hoping to be TTC in May-ish. Will it take a few weeks to ovulate after having the IUD removed or is it different for everybody?

Having looked at the diet I am thinking of adapting my plan:
    No breakfast
Lunch: 1 slice whole grain bread, 2pieces cooked frozen chicken chunks, 1 tsp mayo and lots of ice burg lettuce and a banana
Dinner: whole wheat past with kids tomato sauce with peas and broccoli
For drinks I will have diet coke and sugar free squash, I plan to alternate these meals with maybe a jacket potato with butter or a veggie burger in whole grain wrap if that's an ok thing?
Can I still have muller lights and sugar free jellies?

I will also exercise, mostly in the morning, for an hour. Doing a cardio dvd.

I'm just looking forward to losing weight initially! Lol :-)

    Thank you

Yes I think diet, exercise, and first cycle after Mirena (with one attempt) is a great sway. I would NOT use RepHResh, the results have been totally neutral with much lower odds of conception and so you're trading the benefits of that first month (because you prob. will not get pg using the RepH) for something that doesn't work at all (RepHResh)

Wondfo. I personally don't like the CBFM, I think it makes tons of trouble for people, but some gals like theirs.

There is no consensus, it all depends on your unique set of circumstances and what is right for one person may not be good for somebody else. Timing doesn't work, so set that one aside. Stick with one attempt, that has gotten good results for us.

    Different for everyone.

Diet sounds great, but do add them up to be sure you're getting enough. It looks too low in fat to me.

Yes many people eat muller lights and sugar free jellies.

This is probably a really stupid question but how do you know when you are ovulating? Just using a monitor or something? Sorry I am in completely unfamiliar territory!!
I will try to find an app that monitors my nutrients so that I can keep track of what I'm putting in.
Maybe eating a full fat yoghurt or some cheese to bump up fat.

Some people use temping/charting but that is really more useful only to know, in retrospect, if you did ovulate, not that helpful at predicting it. Some people will have a temp rise, then a dip that can signal O but not everyone gets this, and it has a poopy way of disappearing the one month you're ready to start TTC. :/

Most people use OPK strips or fertility monitors. But if you have a regular cycle, count back 14 days from when you get AF and that is a ballpark.

Symptoms also can help pinpoint O. Don't read too much into those but your cervical position and stuff can help - but it takes months of observation to learn how it all works for you and unfortunately, swaying tends to change that. I believe OPK are the most reliable.

Just wanted to chime in that my sister had mirena removed in dec after full 5 yrs and her ob/gyn advised at least one menses before allowing conception so lining returns to what it should be to support implantation. Hope her professional advice can help someone.

    Go pink!

Welll...I may not be a professional but I play one on TV LOL. I do think that in terms of swaying, it's best to try and catch that first egg if you can.

5 years is QUITE a long time for a Mirena, however - most of us have only had for a year or two. If a person has had it in that long, it may very well make sense to wait.

Do note, though, that it takes many people more than 2 weeks to ovulate and start AF again after MIrena removal, esp. if it's been in there a long time. My thinking is, if you have been waiting like 2 months to get AF to come back, TTC is fine and safe either way because your body will have had the time to recover from the Mirena.

I had my mirena removed on 1/9..(had it for 2 1/2 years)I stated diet, exercise 1/1..I bleed for a week when iud was removed and having very weird spotting now..wasn't planning on attempt in until April, thinking I needed three good periods to track before attempting..someone please help! Should I be using OPK's now and see if I can catch the egg? Or stick to original plan of April after diet, exercise for 12 weeks?? Please help!
