Had a dream that I got a BFP last night. I woke up this morning, 13 dpo and took a test and it was a BFN!
I know it may still be possible but it seems unlikely at this point. Every time I am so sad, mad, frustrated. I have to let go of this hope I had for this October baby.
I am impatiently waiting AF so I can start temping. I have been using opks for 8-9 months but will be temping as well for the first time. I have my BB thermometer and some charts. I will also start Femara on CD 5 to help get a good egg hopefully.
Ugh I am down.
I will see you all in the Feb 2ww.

I have been doing IF for a week now and not only has it not lessened my supply, it has me making MORE milk! I think because on my eating days I am taking in 2200 calories which is more than I usually would.
Just what I have noticed! But DD2 is 14.5 months and on solids and cows milk as well.

Aw EmileeJane, hang in there honey! You are not out till AF shows! With DS2, I didn't get a BFP until I was 18-20DPO! You may have Oed later, which causes AF to show later and a later BFP.
FX for you! Either way, you have a good chance. Femara will help!

DS2 is 19mo and I am surprised mine hasn't dried up! I only IF twice a week and eat 200-400 cals those days. On non-IF days I stick to LE limits and 1400-1600 cals. I nurse twice a day though. He is also eating solids and drinking cow's milk.

EJ, I'm sorry about the BFN. I agree with XX though, some ladies do get late BFPs (myself included) so there's still hope. What a cruel dream though!
That would upset me, too. If you're not pregnant, femara will only help both your sway and chances of conception, and temping so you know you've timed BD well will be nice, having that confirmation.
mommymachine, theoretically IF should be able to increase supply bc of how it revs the metabolism. Thank you as well for that input! I'm hoping, if I have a girl first, to be BFing and moderate IFing but while eating a more boy friendly diet (but no snacking & reduced cals), and see if that plus pink friendly BD results in a girl or a boy. I want to know if IF can (over)compensate for a higher fat + protein/nutritious diet including red meat, oats, and fish oil. I'll avoid other vitamins & fortified foods, and exercise if possible. I love using myself as a test subject, hopefully I can intentionally sway for all my kids.Last edited by maidentomother; January 28th, 2015 at 05:14 PM.

Girls doing IF, please be careful. There are some interesting studies showing that IF may be more beneficial to men than women, especially when it comes to fertility. Female rats had decreased fertility, decreased size in ovaries, and increased masculinization when fasting. All things you definitely don't want when trying to get pregnant. I definitely wouldn't want IF to make it even harder for you to get pregnant as swaying girl and the LE diet already does that!
I thought of you all when I came across this today:

July 2016: Laproscopic surgery to remove a ping pong ball sized endometrioma on left ovary and 3 pea size fibroids on outside of uterus. Hysteroscopy to remove one larger "penetrating fibroid" inside uterus.
Oct 2016: Heartbroken after DH's vasectomy. Looks like my dreams of a daughter are gone.
