Are you ladies sticking to specific diets or just trying to keep your sodium and potassium low? This is such a great thread. I'm going to keep watching it. I am following the InGender girl diet pretty strictly.

I don't think I've O'd yet - OPKs have turned negative, but cervix is still soft and very open. I'm hoping dh and I can get one more attempt in tonight, but he's out for a drink with a friend and I'm worried I'll pass out from the Benedryl before he gets home .

    6:30am: coffee
12pm: swiss cheese, a slice of tomato and balsamic vinegar on one of my homemade low sodium crusty buns, iced sugar cookie
5:30pm: 3 blueberry pancakes (regular recipe - I just left out the salt so they were only 31mg of sodium per pancake) with a bit of butter and maple syrup, 3 cobs of corn, 1 serving of low fat sour cream & onion Pringles
8:30pm: 1 cup ground cherries (a really yummy berry-type fruit related to tomatoes), 1 double lolly

    Calories: 1669
    Protein: 41g
    Sodium: 602mg

The pancakes turned out well, and were very satisfying. The only problem was, with such a sweet supper, I was craving salt when I was done. Luckily, my sodium for the day was so low that I was able to have a full serving of low fat chips and still only come to 602mg. My calories are a little higher than I'd like - I was going to have a bigger snack, but was afraid to add anymore calories.

Welcome, FullSimpleLife. Most of us here are following the 'low everything' diet, which you can find elsewhere on this site. In general it's a low nutrient, low calorie, low fat, low sodium, low protein diet (hence the low everything). We try to keep under 40g of protein, 700-1000mg of sodium, and 1500-1800 calories, while avoiding all meat and a few other foods. It's a lot less restrictive than the IG diet and our very own atomic sagebrush has done tons of research to back it up - you might want to check it out.

Mochagirl- Thanks! I did some reading/researching after I posted. I don't think I read it but were there any recommendations for fat intake? Do you guys use a website to track your calories/fat/protein? I've been trying out sparkpeople and like it pretty well.

    My stats today were
    Calories 840
    Fat 22 grams
    Protein 40
    Sodium 747

It's a little early so I might still have a little something before I go to bed. I am a vegetarian so the no meat is a cinch for me. I think I will probably stick pretty close to the InGender diet without any added milk because I can't drink it. yuck!

I use FitDay to track my intake, though I don't trust a lot of their entries after discovering A LOT of them have high sodium as though they assume you add salt to everything. Instead, I create custom entries for all my regular foods based on labels or outside research.

We had a big discussion about fat a while back, and the general verdict was that it would be almost impossible to overindulge in fat while keeping strictly to this diet. I think atomic did later add in some guidelines, though. I think my fat's normally between 20 and 30g.

The no meat thing isn't the problem for me - it's the limits on cheese that are killing me! I LOVE cheese, and on this diet I can never have more than a tiny pile of parmesan or a thin slice of swiss a day. This is my 4th month on the diet, and I think when I'm done I may just buy a brick of aged cheddar and eat the whole thing in one go!

    Hi ladies and welcome FullSimpleLife!

I went to a girlfriend's house last night and she'd baked cupcakes - and I turned down wine for coke but didn't even consider that it wouldn't be the diet version .... oh well

Oh my gosh! Emmy you're pretty close to me. I live in Oregon City. Have you ever had the Memphis Mafia from voodo? It's a banana fritter with peanut butter. My DH was telling me he would bring me home one when I get my BFP.
