    Swaying help + Vitex question

    Hi,

    I am 30 and husband is 31.
I have been ttc for 6 cycles with no bfp. So upset

I conceived my son the first try (having se. Every other day and I was on vitamins and very clean healthy diet).

I started the girl LE diet 6 cycles ago and since then my cycle has been irregular - one month it's 26 days long, another 25 , then 27 and last month it was 19 (shortest cycle I have ever had!!).
I have no pre existing condition and my husband and I are healthy. I have taken OPKs and I do get a positve result.

I the past we have tried did one attempt, then every 4 days etc....
Last cycle we did every 3 days... But no bfp. My cycle started yesterday.

Since starting the le diet my cm has significantly decrease to where I haven't seen any some months and I use to have a TON.
I have notice the last two cycles it was starting to show up a little.

    What am I doing wrong??

    Vitex:

Should I take Vitex from now (day 2) until about day 13 and see if that helps me get a bfp this month.
I've never taken it. Also, should I maybe take a prenatal (half a dose) to make sure I'm getting the nutrition I need. I started the diet at 107lbs and went down to 103 and I have stayed at that weight now. I am 5'2".

I would I've a girl but I would not be disappointment in anther boy.
I just don't want to lose hope that I will be able to conceive again.

Don't do vitex. When things are

I need to now more about what else you are doing. When you say you're doing LE Diet, what does that mean to you? I often find that people are starving themselves and calling it LE Diet but that is not the case.

19 day cycle is obviously not normal - are you getting a short LP or what?

After having been on diet for 6 months I'd start adding in some supplements anyway, so if a prenatal is easier that is fine. Take 3x a week. Or, you can do zinc 8-15 mg 3x a week, B12 the lowest dose you can find 1x a week, iron 18-60 mg 3x a week IF your periods are heavy and/or you aren't eating meat, and iodine 150 IU daily as long as you don't have any thyroid issues. But as you can see that can be a little complicated if you prefer the prenatal.

What is husband doing to sway?? ARe you douching, using jelly, etc??

    Atomic,

No, not starving myself at all. And for meat I eat chicken and ground turkey.
Just limiting my snacking (I have a big sweet tooth and love chocolate) so I have a Lara bar if I need something in the afternoon between lunch and dinner.
    No douching or jellies etc.

This was my first cycle that was this short, last cycle was 27 days and my temps also confirmed ovulation at day 15

Heavy to moderate bleeding first 2 days then mild and is usually done by day 4.
Husband has a healthy diet, cut out caffeine and alcohol.

My prenatal serving is 2 so I am only taking one as of yesterday - cycle day 1.
I'm not sure what the heck happened this cycle?!

I also have a greens powder that I can start taking, thoughts? I haven't been taking it while ttc.

    Don't do vitex when what??
I heard it can balance you out...

    Why b12?

OH sorry must have stopped in midthought there. I blame a poopy diaper.

Anyway, I find that when things are going weird in the cycle, vitex more often than not makes matters a zillion times worse, like throwing gas on a fire. I never have anyone start vitex with a screwball cycle and never never ever when you've been having trouble getting pregnant. We actually have had to have many people DROP vitex before they could conceive and it used to be used as a primitive form of birth control so it is not something to use when things aren't going quite right.

All the talk about "balancing" this and that comes mainly from people who are selling vitex. Some people with PCOS can be helped by vitex but that is because it can lower hormones. I think your hormones are already lowered and thus best to leave it out.

Sorry to keep going on about this, but how many calories a day? How many grams of fat?? Chicken and turkey are usually about the least of the issues, it's cals and fat that stop people ovulating.

Do not use the greens powder.

B12, if you're really eating chicken and turkey regularly you won't need that. B12 is one of those nutrients that is in short supply on a vegetarian diet and so when people have gone for 6 months I have them add in a little bit.

The vitamin is fine, do not add the greens mix. There is stuff in there that I do not believe is adequately safe when TTC, things that may sway blue, and things that may aggravate your situation with not ovulating.

Atomic, thank you. It feels so good to have someone give me sound advice and I am so thankful for that.

I don't count calories or fat - for breakfast I will have a bagel with cream cheese or frozen waffles. Lunch is left overs .. I am good with portion control.
I have been enjoying some Girl Scout cookies lol
I am aware of what I'm eating but not completely depriving myself.

I exclusively breastfed my son who is 17 months old for 12 months. I got my period back when he was 4 months.

For the prenatal - take every other day or every two?

If you aren't counting, then my concern is that you are not getting enough. Many times people are dreadfully low in fat when they are not counting. 19 day cycle indicates to me something is amiss but hard for me to know for sure, it isn't beyond the realm of normal to ahve one strange cycle now and then for no good reason.

    I'd take normal dose 3x a week or the half-dose 5 times a week
