Femara works like Clomid to stimulate O and also sways pink. You could go to another dr or order it online if you're in the US or UK.

60 min minimum uninterrupted cardio daily, more is great if you have time & weight to spare.

    Just folic acid, no prenatals!

    My Ovulation Chart
currently TTC, Cycle #16 since last BFP

TTC #1 - swaying pink on & off since Nov 2013 - hoping for a girl first but excited for either!

Dec 2001 - May 2006 : 5 early abortions of healthy singletons (3 medical @5w, 2 surgical @8w, last 4 pregnancies conceived with late DH, all conceived while TTA/on birth control)
Mar 2012: miscarried B/G twins @5w (conceived 2 cycles after remověng Paraguard copper IUD while NTNP), one twin was ovarian ectopic

Me: 34, widowed, late O + short LP, normal-good hormone levels excepting undetectable testosterone, seeking a known sperm donor/life partner
My sway: vegetarian LE for over 28w, skipping breakfast, fibre (ground psyllium husks) with/before/between meals, physically inactive, drama avoidance, ocassional minimal YesBaby lube as needed, alternate cycles on low dose Clomid, double shot lattes (with meals)
Past sway tactics I've dropped (in order): Vitex, Sudafed, antihistamines, intermittent fasting, one attempt per cycle at positive OPK, one attempt in fertile period

I'm in Canada - so femara is an rx also? Like I'm 38 so he won't give me anything - I've been afraid to order Chlomd online... Just I would have no idea of what I got was the real thing or safe, but the thought has repeatedly crossed my mind.

Femara is Rx also, yes. And actually it's better for women over 35 than Clomid. The online pharmacy I used when I lived in the US is great, I personally tested all the meds I ordered from them the first few years as I was teaching organic chem at a university and had access to GC/MS equipment at the time. All the dozen to twenty or so meds I ordered were what they were supposed to be. I only checked a few for dosage as that's more of a hassle but the few I checked were the stated dose. Unfortunately they don't ship to Germany so I haven't ordered from them since 2012. And I checked, they don't ship to Canada either. Both our countries have very restrictive Rx drug laws.

Hitme, I can understand why you want to wait but also really don't! I do think with 4 sons you should do the strongest possible sway, even if that means waiting. Can you get clomid or femara to stimulate O? That would help your pink sway too. I'd also recommend reading & posting in the 'what I ate today' LE thread to help give you ideas of how to eat and to stay strict on the diet by being accountable. The diet seems/sounds much more difficult than it is. Once you get into it, it's very doable. Exercise is similar I find, it's the motivation to get started that is most overwhelming.
Maidenmother I bought cheap ones on the internet. My cycle in normally 27-29 days. I tested from cd8 through to cd15. I had a faint line cd12 and stronger but still visibly lighter line cd13. In the past i pretty much oed cd14 like clockwork. Was testing between 1pm and 4pm. The other thing I really noticed was lack of egcm. I normally have alot of it around o but had very little last cycle. Am really paying attention this cycle and recording everything. I started temping in last week of last cycle and it has dropped with af so I think I definitely oed. Am going to buy some decent probably digital opks in my ttc month. Will get them for the month before as well so no surprises

Oh and this cycle am still going to use cheap opks but test twice a day 10am and 3pm. Hoping to see if faint line coincides with temp spike

I wonder about other online? I have seem Chlomd online and remember on Instagram some mamas were ordering it from canada of all places!
Is there alternative reasons that my doc might agree to rx the femara?

Femara is out. I just read it's pretty dangerous while nursing, whereas clom has minimal risks other than your milk supply but bc he's eating solids and drinking other things it's a seemingly viable option, Except for my age...

Pbn3, I think you stopped testing with OPKs too soon. I also have an average 28 day cycle but I O around CD18 on average (CD16-20), so most months I wouldn't get a positive OPK until after CD15. Swaying pink often delays O, too.

Hitme, you'd have to stop nursing for either med. Femara is only used for cancer and fertility. I am sure there are online pharmacies that ship to Canada but I wouldn't use one unless someone I trusted recommended it or I could test the meds myself. In addition to the issue of getting real meds, some online pharmacies will sell your credit card info/use it themselves for fraud.
