I would have a cup of coffee daily with a couple tbsp of coffeemate first thing in the morning. Couldn't have survived without it! I did run 3-6 miles daily immediately after finishing my coffee though.

I do think the intense cardio is a great sway factor. I normally hate to run but I loved it by the end! I have missed it so much during pregnancy.

I have been running and using weights for months to lose weight... I hope that by dropping the weight training and continuing the running that it's enough of a difference to still be considered enough cardio

A BIG part of why the LE Diet seems to work for people is that you have the leeway to not feel terribly deprived, since there are no forbidden foods you can have what you want when you want it. Cheating is not only allowed, it's ENCOURAGED and we operate under hte 80-20 rule...you get 80% of the results with 20% of the effort and to get that remaining 20% of results, you have to put out 80% of the effort, and with swaying pink trying to put out 80% of the effort on diet drives ya so nutty you end up swaying blue anyway. Perfection is not required here, good enough is good enough.
While technically, the coffee with milk and sugar is a cheat, it doesn't amount to much (scientific explanation - becuase your blood sugar goes up naturally in the morning anyway the coffee with milk and sugar just kinda gets absorbed into that anyway and may even help lower your blood sugar later on in the day) and it was a cheat that I had every day and still got my DD.
WHat you may want to try is also putting in a little cinnamon (just a pinch, it really takes very little) in the coffee, will help keep blood sugar lower.
You're doing fine! Keep it up!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

Thanks Atomic! I add cinnamon to my grinds anyway! Great to know! I'm definitely going to way way reduce my protein and hope that works... I think fajita seasoned veggies in corn tortillas will be a regular.
I'm one of those southerners who eats aLOT of salt... When I had blood work done they said they couldn't tell at all... I guess I metabolize it quickly? Do I have to completely cut salt or do you think lowering it will be okay?

Many of us have found that it's strangely easy to stick to a higher carb diet when we've had poor results in the past losing weight on high protein diets (like you mention, food restrictions not working for you) It may be that some women are just better off eating more carbs than a high protein diet and we feel terribly deprived without them. So you may find this to be a whole new experience and while it feels counterintuitie, the majority of us have lost weight easily on LE (so much so that we ended up using it as a diet after we had our babies to take off the lbs)

Lauren I think you ought to add in more veg, I think it will feel healthier to you and remember, low carb veg are FREE, you can have as much as you want and do not even need to count them!

I agree. I'm going to add in more veggies for sure. Thanks for such quick responses. I'm so anxious to get my plan back but I'm so glad I found you guys when I did. I'm right at the 90 days out mark so I feel like I have the perfect amount of sway time

Yes you can and I do want to issue a "warning" about the fat-free cream cheese - I see many people who try very hard to cut out fat COMPLETELY but that is NOT LE Diet. Cream cheese can be a good way to get some fat if you're not getting it elsewhere. Fat free cream cheese is certainly fine to eat, but I jsut want to be sure you're getting fat from someplace.
