I am a very firm believer though that nothing will work if your baby and body isn't ready. Good luck to you!

On my first I walked (very carefully!!!!) up and down my stairs. Maybe 10-15 times then break for 10 mins before doing it again. The next day DS1 arrived after a 12 hour labour. On DS2 I tried the same thing and every other trick in the book, nothing worked. I was induced at 40+5, they said they would break my waters and see how I went. An hour later DS2 was in my arms. Every child is different and like a previous poster said your body and your baby will kick things off only when they are ready to. In the meantime try to enjoy these last few precious days of sharing your body with your baby, you will never get this time back x

light exercise within your limits. walking or Yoga balls help big time not only for exercise but for reducing pain during labor. Apparently for me last time it was sex and then for my husband to leave for a 9 hour work trip and have to try to get there and back before DS was born. Trouble right from the start! Semen contains the same natural product they synthesize as a cervix ripener to induce or move labor along! If its still tolerable enjoy it while you can before the cut off time lol!

I tried several things and found that my babes invariably arrived 1-4 days after their due date. Every last one of them. I no longer recommend doing this because I have seen no effect after seeing it done probably by a thousand women by now.
WARNING: Do NOT take EPO (evening primrose oil) orally to start labor. This, I tried with DS 3 and I ended up having lots of small blood clots in my amniotic fluid and the nurses "had never seen anythign like it". I didn't understand why at the time but now I have learned that EPO is a blood thinner and I was probably bleeding from my placenta because I'd taken it. There is no scientific evidence suggesting it even does anything when taken orally (certainly did not work for me, he came 4 days late) and I really advise against it.!!! I do think sex might have made my water break a couple times. Had sex the night before and then my water went the next day. BUt then again, it could have been totally coincidental, since I was overdue with all of them.
