Not sure if this is the right forum for this thread but Just wanted to share this new interessant article with you guys that states that not male embryo's but the female embryo's die during Pregnancy.
For every 100 girls, 106 boys are born. Scientist believed that this was because more male embryo's developed during conception than female embryo's, but now they found that this is probably not the case. They say that probably during conception the sex ratio is 50/50, but female embryo's have a lesser chance to survive.
The researchers based there conclusion on datasets of in total 800.000 abortions, miscarriages and amnioscentisis.

I saw that the other day. It's very interesting. For all the IVF people out there, it shows we do make both genders pretty equally.

I read this and find it to be very misleading and also flies in the face of other studies that found 140-160 boys conceived for every girl.
People going HT and getting abortions are NOT a randomly selected group and were overrepresented in this simply because the data was readily available.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

Just think of all the pregnancies that end before their gender can even be determined.
Until I see incontrovertible evidence otherwise, I am going to continue to operate under the assumption that boy babies are more fragile because tons of other data has indicated that they are.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

100% agree with atomic. Far more data suggests that 1.5x as many boys are conceived. This study is not relevant to the general population.
