I had my operation on my ear and it went fine. I'm currently in the hospital hoping the general anesthesia, cortisone infusion, and antibiotics don't mess up my cycle, especially since this was my first cycle taking soy. I had EWCM but forgot to bring OPKs with so can't confirm if the CM is just due to all the crazy meds. I made sure to BD yesterday morning just in case I ovulate early (which has never happened but I would be so frustrated if we missed a chance) I should be out of the hospital tomorrow and then will be able to use an OPK and see what is going on. I have pretty much no hope for this cycle though as I'm sure the meds will mess everything up. Again.

Thank so so much Junie. Really nice to hear from you.
I'm so sorry about your ear op. My gosh - that is just an added craziness you do not need. I really really hope it doesn't mess up this cycle for you because enough is enough. I am really watching your journey with hope.
Why I'm getting AF at 9dpo I do not know. It frightens me a lot. The dr says I should test sunday night and start clomid monday if it's bfn . I'll then have a scan next thursday and then he'll give me progesterone to stop me bleeding so early. Sounds fun, doesn't it? And the expense is... all part of the fun. And the fear I have about taking clomid is ENORMOUS CRAZY TERRIBLE despite the 'I got a boy on clomid' stories. I just have a feeling those were all fantastically healthy boy-type mothers and clomid made no difference to them. But for me on the other hand...
Thanks for telling me about older mothers - it's great to hear. Even though I feel like I have driven myself to the brink of despair in the hopes of having a little boy, I do also just want to have another baby. I adore my little girl and I know it would be just the same with another one. Maybe it's time to forget this baby boy dream. I think it's a big help to be young if you sway blue. Being older is already a pink sway in itself.
Wow. Hard day. Junie, I really hope you feel better and I think it's amazing you BD before you went to hospital in case you O early. That is amazing planning!

HI tm29! I am actually swaying pink as I have 2 little boys that I adore. This journey has been extremely hard but I so want another baby as I do not feel like my family is complete so I will keep trying. Unfortunately as you know 39 is not "optimal" but most definitely not impossible and I have to continue to wait for the "golden egg" as Atomic says. I also know plenty of older moms. I did not know anything about your situation and I am so terribly sorry for your loss. I think it definitely takes your body a decent time to recover and I am glad you will be seeing the doctor. I think it would be a good idea to get a bloodwork panel done to check your hormone levels. Instead of clomid maybe you can see if it is possible to get femera as I believe it is a much better option for us "older" gals
I do know the devastation all too much each month and it is soooo very hard but don't lose faith! It will happen!!

I just want to jump in and say, I'm so sorry TM29 [emoji22]! Please be kind to yourself! You absolutely have an excellent shot at blue with everything you have done! Please take comfort in what I am about to tell you. At least three of my friends, all of whom couldn't conceive on their own and unknowingly (1 intentionally swayed blue), had to have Clomid to conceive their blue bundles. Their age ranges from 33, 37, and 40. I wouldn't bat an eye about taking Clomid given how much weight you've gained on the HE diet and all of the other sway factors you are doing!
If it were me, I would definitely chose Clomid over Femara. We have been seeing great results with pink on Femara than with Clomid. Of course check this out with Atomic, but please remember that one away factor will NOT trump everything else you have done and are doing!!
I just know your little man is waiting for the perfect egg to come to you, I just know it [emoji170][emoji170]!

I'm sorry tm29 AF showed up.
I definitely didn't know about your previous miscarriage.
Please don't lose hope.
It's normal to feel negative about the whole thing bc it happens to everyone of us.
I know you rather not get medical help but if you have to then that's what you need to do to get your little boy.
Hang in there !

Junie you are indeed a great multitasker!
Can't believe you bd before before your hospital visit.
I hope the meds don't mess anything up and catch the egg [emoji2]

So sorry you're all struggling ladies, but it's not any different for me. AF arrived yesterday, four days late. TBH I didn't even feel any of my usual fake pregnancy symptoms, so I wasn't surprised to see it. I am however getting discouraged from this ttc business. My three boys were conceived first attempt, and now it has been four months since my mc and nothing!! This last cycle we dtd every three days in order to increase my chances but no luck. Two weeks ago I stopped BF my two year old, so maybe that will change things for me. I'll be turning 41 (!) In May, so it feels like it's now or never really.
