He asked all the expected questions. Do you ovulated? I told him maybe some times but I don't think regularly. I told him the months Im pretty sure I did I had a short luteal phase. He decided to send me to the obgyn. I had said I'd love to keep it here within this office bc of the time restraint. I said if we could juts try a couple rounds of Clomid and he almost grabbed the scrip pad. Asked me if I'd ever been on it and I said no. I said I only have 3 months thinking he'd go for it but instead he set up an urgent meeting with the local obgyn. My appointment is Tuesday!

Btw he didn't seem appalled by my request for Clomid. I told him I'd researched things that could help me. I knew he wouldn't offer it, as in the past I've had to ask for certain things to try. He's very old school.

Thats great baby!! Hopefully you'll get it from the obgyn I was referred to my obgyn just after Xmas (appointments are ridiculously slow here!!) to be tested for Endo as my sister was recently diagnosed with it and turns out theres a family history of it. I got the letter for the appt yesterday for 10 days from now, thinking I might mention short LP and my irregular cycles. Its a bit of an embellishment, my cycles are irregular around 25-35 days and my LP varies from 12-14 days I *think*. I bought OPKs yesterday so I can see if I am Oing when I think I am. I thought I was today and yesterday but the Wondfo is negative!!

I think the only way to confirm o is though temping (someone can chime in if im wrong here). I wasn't going to temp at all bc I assumed all would be well but I had the hunch to start.
Even if you get a pos opk it doesn't for sure mean you will o. But you would need to tell the doc that you've been trying for a year, the short luteal phase thing and or irregular cycles. He'll ask you if you're ovulating. I chose to say I think I do sometimes bc I wanted to use the luteal phase issue. If I had if said no, then how would I know I have a short luteal.. Ykwim?

The only way to confirm ovulation is bloodwork or ultrasound in your doctor's office. Temping can help but are not flawless.

Thanks atomic - im so worried that im not... I see the obgyn tomorrow (Tuesday) at 1.
Sad to think that even though my window of opportunity was short to start with, that maybe it's even more narrow than I thought
