Hi guys... so I just had my baby girl 2 months ago. The whole pregnancy I swore I was done having kids but the second she was out we both (hubby and i) wanted one more. We have 2 older boys currently.
My first question is for all you ladies out there that have 4 kids.. was the transition from 3 to 4 hard? Do people judge you for having so many kids?
I am going to sway again for another girl and I'm DEAD set on a having a summer baby this time. We are trying to figure out when to start trying. What is the best age difference in siblings?
My older ones are 3 years apart and are very close. I want my girl to have a partner too.
I have two options on age gap here.. 14 months or 2.5 year age difference depending on when we try. What do you all think is the best option?
Thanks.. GD ladies! 😊

It was fine for me going from 3-4.
Yes people judge me, but thankfully it is not their decision.
DS1 and DS2 are 2.5 year apart and DS2 and DS3 are 2.5 year apart. I loved that age gap so much, I found it much easier than the 19months I had between DS3 and DD1. However, fast forward 3 years, and I love how close in age DS3 and DD1 are, they can do everything together and it really is built in playmates. DS1 and DS2 play together all the time as well, but the age is still enough that DS1 gets to go do stuff that DS2 just isn't quite old enough to do. So both have their advantages and disadvantages. This next age gap I am hoping to be 28 months or so...so easier than 19 months but closer than 2.5 yearsThank you God and Our Lady

I love 2.5yrs age gap. We have that between DS1 and DS2. They are best buds! We will have that between DS2 and baby #3.

I would love a summer baby for our 4th too.
I have both a 20 month gap and 2.5 year gap. I much prefer the smaller gap as my first was still so young and to me, it made the transition from 1 to 2 a breeze. With the 3rd, who is 2.5 years older, I've had a harder time with jealousy. Luckily, my older two are a "pair" and can entertain each other for hours.
We're hoping for our 4th and final to be the bookend to another 2 under 2 pair.

Good luck!
I do think closer spacings tend to sway pink, but very far from a guarantee.
My two oldest boys are almost 4 years apart and that was too much. My second two were less than 2 years apart, and while it was difficult at the time when they were both teensy, they are much better able to play together than the first two. DS 4 and DD are about 2.5 years apart and that is also a good spacing, they do play together still and it was WAY easier when the baby came.
Yes, I do feel judged for my family size but why, I am not really sure. I have tons of people in both DH and my family who have ZERO kids and even with our 5 we're still shrinking, LOL. Haters gon' hate.

We have 23 months between our guys. I do not recommend a gap of 2years so this time we are aiming for 2.5. The lesser gap would have been great but I am kinda glad we Waited now.
And FWIW I know I only have two so can't comment on going from 2 to 3 or 4 etc but I don't think anything will be as hard as going from zero kids to one lol2012

Thank you all for your helpful advice! Atomic that video was awsome!.
We went to a bbq on the weekend and a distant aunt asked my hubby if we were "done". He politely answered we weren't sure. She proceeded to inform him that kids cost money and we would have to pay for them. Like-* HELLO -* we know that. How insulting that people would think we have no idea how to do a family budget (etc.) Really eerked me the wrong way.
We are leaning more toward the 2 years apart. Just seems more of a fit for our family.but both have there positives and negatives for sure.Mama to 2 DSand 2 DD

My DD and DS are 20 months apart. It was exhausting after DS was born, but now they are 4.5 and 6 and they are truly the best of friends! When I asked DD who we should invite to her b-day party, she named a couple of girlfriends, and then "oh and Harrison, of course!" LOL.
