Thanks, swish. I know I just feeling overly emotional because of af. I just was worried I'd hurt my Mom's feelings, and was second-guessing my decision to carry on. It doesn't help that I know she's really worried about me being on this diet, so I feel like I just keep causing her unnecessary stress.

{hugs} mocha, I'm so sorry AF arrived and that you've had such a dilemma about whether to try this month. You obviously have a great relationship with your mom. x

She's my best friend, and I think that might be one of the biggest causes of my GD... For me, it's not about the pink or the princess stuff - I was a tomboy and think if I had a girl she'd be like that too...I think it's the adult relationship between a mother and a daughter I crave.

I feel exactly the same way. I'm very close to my mom and I would love to have the same relationship with a daughter. Plus, even though my mom tells me it doesn't matter what I have, I know she would be thrilled with a granddaughter. Sigh. I so wish I had no GD. Oh and I'm the same way about the pink frilly stuff... I was a tomboy and never wore dresses, ran around on a farm, manure everywhere... I plan on raising my girl just like I was so the early childhood part makes no difference to me in regards to gender. It's the relationship later in life.

Exactly, DM. I grew up with 3 older brothers and my best friend was a boy, so I ran around in the woods, collecting snakes and frogs on long summer days. My Mom has unintentionally nurtured my GD by constantly telling me that her relationship with my kids is just different somehow because I'm her daughter (she's close to her other grandchildren, but she has a much more hands-on role with my kids, and they are the favourites ), and also because she's said to me many times that I was such a gift to her and she really wants me to have a girl someday....

Aww, mocha, that's so lovely. Often GD is way back in my mind and doesn't bother me on a day to day basis then I might pass a mother and daughter in the street (and often they're teenagers or adults and not pink frilly little girls) and it hits me bang in the face!

In a complete change of subject (and no doubt TMI) I'm trying not to freak out at the massive string of EWCM I had today. That's even more than usual for me! That being said, I'm on cd10 and I often get a burst of it around now and last month I didn't get much back after that initial lot of cd9/10. If I O the same day as last month (cd15) then our attempt will be on Sunday which is DS1's birthday - wonder if it's lucky!

Definitely a lucky day, Z! I'll be just under a week behind you, then - I think I'll O around the 9th or 10th of September. Maybe we'll both get pregnant this cycle and our babies will be due right around the same time!

That is so exciting, z!!! I can't believe you' nearly there! I feel exactly the same as you girls, it's the adult relationship I want, I'm not that girly and not into pink (although I'm sure I'll enjoy the girls clothes if I get the chance!!!) but it is an adult daughter I cannot imagine not having, having grandchildren, being part of a wedding etc etc. It's so silly ad things often don't turn out the way you want anyway and you can't plan someone else's life but the it is...
Still waiting for af, so frustrating!!!! I'm uncomfortable today and headachy but I've been fooled before!!

Oh, swish - you must be so frustrated! Did the doctor take some blood to check for pregnancy?
