Must give cottage cheese a shot then. Sounds like I would like it!
Pink pony I totally agree with you! Making food for the rest of the family seems so undesirable and a massive undertaking at the moment. I have tried not eating at the same time as them though and that helps some days! Still makes the preparation hard!
I avoid FB for similar reasons hun! I accidentally clicked the FB link on our bookmarked pages on the household laptop yesterday and DH was logged in. First thing that came up on his feed before I could even X out was a mutual acquaintances status thanking everyone on the arrival of their little girl. Sure I could only laugh - and then stew all day thinking about how easy it is for others to get their girl and I might never get mine! Ugh, hate feeling this way!!!
On a more upbeat note, after DH saying he didn't want to do supps (after originally saying he would do whatever it took!) I came downstairs this morning to find him taking 1800mg of Cranberry with his breakfast!! He didn't say anything and neither did I but I am delighted he is being slightly more supportive by helping me sway
Is anyone else excited for their sway? Or is it more nerves? I waver between the two!2012

Hiya,
Wondering if anyone can give me some advice:
What exactly does fibre do for the LE diet? Was gonna buy capsules as drinking it would make me puke lol!
My husband is taking licorice root and olive leaf, should he take cranberry also? Suddenly, I see lots of people talking about husbands taking it.
I have been avoiding peppers in my cooking, I'm sure I read that somewhere but now can't find what it said. Do you think peppers should be avoided even if they are ok in my overall daily calories and fat intake etc?
Thanks xxxxxx(2010)

Fibre supps help to absorb some of the fat in high fat meals but they can also help make you feel more full, therefore not needing to eat as many cals as you might usually consume. At least that's the way I feel, and the woman in the health store did mention that again to me yesterday.
There's no need for your DH to take Cranberry if he is already taking OLE. They do the same thing so shouldn't be taken together. He can either of them. The only reason I have DH taking Cranberry and not OLE is cause there's not a huge amount of stats at the moment for OLE. Atomic recommended cran recently over OLE but purely because OLE is relatively new for swaying and she can't advise based on minimal results.
I don't avoid peppers. They are a staple here. I don't use a whole lot but for the minimal calories and nutrients they are worth it. I did read that somewhere here too when I first joined but I have since read lots more threads with pink swayers eating them and it hasn't mattered to their sway. The main thing to remember is to avoid foods that raise your blood sugar and keep it high for a long period - like garlic. That's not to say I don't use it in my cooking but I would use the barest amount whereas before I would be using bucket loads!!2012

hopper, I have to try the Dolmio sauce you mentioned! I like cottage cheese. We also eat it quite a lot around here. Many fitness people or people trying to lose weight also uses it a lot. I used to eat it in my porridge in the morning, it sounds awful combination but it's good! Your lavender bath sounds so relaxing! Wow, great that your DH took cranberry!
Pink Pony, didn't know that about herbal tea. I just thought every kind of tea should be avoided. I know, FB is bad... It makes me also really sad to see people getting girls. I feel the same way, I've never wanted anything so bad and it would feel like winning the Lotto. Hugs, hopefully our sways will work!
Hello ttc! Good luck to you! If you decide to sway we have great support here!
Jenny, like hopper said fiber absorbs fat from the food your eating. I have the powder fiber and it starts to taste bad. I just haven't found the capsules. I've been eating peppers alot, haven't heard that they could be bad for swaying pink. They are supposed to be "free food" on LE! But now I'm intrested where you guys read that. Could it maybe be old shool info?2010 (confirmed boy)

I think I have a lot of reading up to do on diet! I had looked at IG diet before, but this site seems to recommend either LE or French diet? Sorry, I know there is a ton of info on here it just takes time to read up on everything. I have been so focused on HT since the end of last year, have been obsessed with researching that so this is something totally new. It's really time consuming! If someone could pm me with basics of what it avoid and what to eat I'd be so grateful. From the gist of it I can see that you need to burn fat, skip breakfast, no bananas, low meat (and no charcuterie meat, minimal red meat), high calcium, low sodium and sugar? I have recently changed my diet to cut out lots of processed food so think I will be ok to restrict father, just need to know what is ok to eat. And alcohol is ok?!
Regarding supplements, I have calcium and magnesium, is there anything else I should take? Such as cranberry?
What are your thoughts on timing? I plan to follow shettles as its the opposit of what we did to conceive sons. I was thinking of dtd once per cycle, missionary and jump and dump.
I also have a weird theory that my boys were all conceived in even years and born in odd, so was thinking the opposit would he'll get a girl?!!!!3 beautiful boys, longing for a sister for them to complete our family

Hi 2xblue, thanks for being so welcoming here! I recently did a detox and the nutritionist told us that to burn fat our body needs to take on fat - she advocated 'healthy fats' from things like olive oil, coconut milk, olives, avocados, fish, nuts, full fat milk/yoghurt/cream etc etc, the natural fatty acids. I take it these are not approved on girl diets?
I am skipping breakfast and having a large smoothie as a mid morning snack or lunch (depending how hungry I am!) I'm putting in spinach, blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, natural yoghurt, milk and also chia seeds and flax seeds. Do you think this is girl friendly?!3 beautiful boys, longing for a sister for them to complete our family

I was delighted with DH taking the Cran, thanks 2x. Makes me feel hes more on board with things!
As for peppers, its a "moderation" food on LE. Its a higher nutrient veg than say cauliflower or corn which are "free" foods. We just count cals of all these veggies but to be aware that peppers have more nutrients in them and the point of LE is to keep on a low nutrient diet. I don't differentiate between veggies though, stress sways more than the nutritional values of a couple of peppersI wouldn't put much thought into it 2x
