Well crap. Sorry Lauren
I think temping is a good idea. It will give you a better idea of what is going on with your cycles. I temp orally and I don't always temp through AF but its only because I have a pretty good idea of what my cycles look like at this point. I have definitely read that temping vaginally gives more accurate results.
Normally you want to take it after at least a few hours of solid sleep. If you get up to pee in the night, I would still just temp at your normal wake up time. Try to take it at the same time every day but don't stress if you can't, it should still be pretty close. DS still wakes up in the night so my sleep is not consistent at all but I can still tell when I O based on my temps.

If it's very close to when you'd normally temp (like within an hour) go ahead and temp. I've found that an hour doesn't make a huge difference.. maybe a couple hundredths of a degree, if that... for me at least. If it's longer and you don't think you'll be able to get back to sleep- temp and make a note of it so you can "disturb" it later if you need to because it's messing up your chart (or you can alter the temp... not my preference, but your chart= your call). If it's longer than an hour and you have no reason to believe you won't get back to sleep then wait to temp. Getting up to pee in and of itself isn't going to have a big impact temp wise unless you live in a mansion and have to way a ways to get to the restroom because you'll be half asleep so it's not like you'll be doing cartwheels or jumping jacks, lol. The issue comes in if you can't get back to sleep. So, if you don't normally have issues getting back to sleep and it's more than an hour from temp time wait to temp. If it's less than and hour you may not be able to get fully back to sleep before temp time (unless you're like my hubby who can fall asleep standing up lol... if you are then wait to temp if you'd like lol. Personally, it takes me a bit to get back to sleep).

I'm sorry Lauren
I don't know if I have good news or bad news. Woke up to a lot of brown spotting. It could be a good sign, but it could be AF. Maybe my LP is messed up after the MC?

I'd stick with +OPK until you chart a few cycles and know how long after +OPK you normally O (hopefully you won't have to chart long though). Your chart won't really "pick" a day. That is something that comes from you learning your patterns. Over time FF will start to point out patterns like a line of green squares in the time frame you normally O, and give you statistical info, but the picking is all you. I can't speak for the others but I don't mind answering questions

Temping
[QUOTE=Laurenk1424;749026]Thanks. I'm movin on and trying to better know when I ovulate next month. Just watched the video on fertility friend, but I'm confused as to when you temp. Vaginally or orally? Do you temp while on AF?
Help. I've never temped.
I temped for the first time this past month and so glad I have that confirmation. I bought mine from Amazon. It's called baby hopes and like $9. I do mine orally. I don't have time for vaginal!lol I definitely recommend that! Do you use OPK??
