Ok, so I managed to convince DH to release one last time tonight before we dtd. That makes 3 times he's released in 24 hours. I still haven't gotten a +OPK, but as I think I should get one tomorrow or the next day. We're going to dtd tonight, then *if* I can convince him without any tension I'll get him to release again tomorrow before we dtd, but if he's not keen, we'll just dtd without him releasing first. We'll probably do the same thing the next night, and again the next day until I know I've O'd. I think I can feel ok about that plan.

CM is still that weird, creamy/watery mix I had last cycle. It's weird that I had EWCM briefly then it went away - anyone ever have that before? I'm also a little concerned that cervix was SHOW then went back to firmer and lower, though still open. I don't think it's possible I missed O (temps are lower than ever), but I can't help but be a little nervous.

Mocha, your body can try but fail to ovulate a few times before it succeeds (I think it's if oestrogen is low but I'm not sure) have you stopped saw palmetto, if not, that might help. Again, I'm no expert, maybe start a thread??
Z, think everything is ok, just had loads going on, my dad is not well but now seeing specialist so hopefully ok. My nanny is in a home, very old now but not happy so hard on my mum and my mum is just generally finding it all hard to cope with, she was quite unwell about a year ago and I think it's just all a but much. I'm sure it'll all work itself out, we're all just used to my mum being the centre and rock for everyone so it's a bit weird!

Gosh, that's alot going on at once swish, I hope it works out and calms down for you all soon. Your poor mum must feel terrible with both her husband and her mum having difficulties at the same time.

That sounds good mocha, good luck to you and DH this month.

I'm feeling really down today, I'm convinced we're going to get pregnant with another boy - and whilst that doesn't make me feel sad in itself (a boy would be wonderful and fit in just perfectly here!) I feel as though I'm already saying goodbye to my non-existent daughter. Silly really ...

swish - sorry you're dealing with all that stuff.

Z - sorry you're feeling down. I have lots of days like that, where I feel like this 5 months of sacrifice has been for nothing, and I'll never get my daughter.

On a positive side, my cervix is softer and more open than ever today, and there's a bit of EWCM again (though some may be semen from dtd last night). I think I'm going to get my +OPK today.

    Thanks guys.

swish - I think we stand less of a chance because we have 3 boys already, probably because everybody else I know with 3 children has 2 of one gender and 1 of the other and I suppose I feel like we missed that boat!!

mocha - I can't wait for you to join me in the 2ww

Z - we can only do so much to weigh the odds in our favour, after that it's out of our hands. We are all doing SO MUCH that if this doesn't work, nothing will (except high tech, which isn't an option for us). I'm sick of hearing EVERYONE tell me I'll just keep having boys if I try again, but part of me feels that may be true. One thing I noticed a while back is how rare it is to see a family with same gender twins have another child of the opposite gender. I see SO MANY families with twin girls and another girl, or twin boys and another boy. Part of me worries that there's some reason for this and it's going to be doubly hard for me to get an opposite.

However, I keep grasp of a small hope because of my Mom - she had 3 boys then had me. Maybe fate wanted me to have the same family as she did? At least if I do have a girl I'll be able to give her lots of advice on the joys and pains of having 3 older brothers!

I think you have a great chance of getting your girl, Z - if I thought it was impossible, then I'd have to accept the same thing for me. I've heard of lots of families with a girl after 3 boys, and hopefully you and I will join their ranks very soon.

Girls, I know more families with 3 of one then one of another, including my mum! I don't know many with 2 then an opposite. Mocha, I also know 2 families with twins of one gender and other children of another. We ALL gave a good chance!!
