I did a version of HE when we were trying for last dd but I gave up when it started taking so long and reverted back to my old LE tendencies. My first two pregnancies took 2-3 cycles so I'm really hoping that's what will happen again. We just had our first month and got bfn so really hoping for the next couple months. Although when I tried HE the first time, I feel like I ate more processed and less healthy foods.

Can I ask again about ovulation predictor kits. It's the first time I've ever tracked ovulation, I must have been so lucky conceiving my boys! I bought th echo strips on line but I'm wondering if they are working. Have been testing since day 12 or 13 and been negative every day, I'm now day 23. Either I ovulated super early, will ovulate late or haven't ovulated, or maybe the strips are duff? Does anyone use the digital ones? I have one more practice month so need a rough indication of when I Ov! Thanks

Oh and hate the LE diet too. Do not want to have to keep it up for more than a few months. What meals are people making?!

Hello!! I'm hoping that I will be able to join you on a pink swaying journey at the end of this year - I still need to persuade hubby but I'm starting the LE diet, the modified version for PCOS (I don't have PCOS that I'm aware of but atomic recommended it with my exercise levels/type). The exercise side of things shouldn't be an issue but the diet will be interesting for me as I love my food and have a very sweet tooth From reading up on the stats, I am a typical boy breeder (I've had 3) with my diet, personality etc so it doesn't bode well for me to manage a pink bundle lol!x

Ttc2015 I use both the LH strips and the clearblue digital! So first I pay close attention to my CM as it starts dry and slowly and daily become more copious and thin and stretchy. Once it becomes like egg whites, I will start to test with the cheap LH strips every time I use the restroom until I get a positive reading. I then use the clearblue to confirm it! I use the cheapies first since they're a dime a dozen and I won't use the clearblue till I'm 90% sure I'm ovulating since they are expensive. I will then test 24+ later to confirm the LH surge has passed and I get a negative.
I've just now started tracking my BBT to hopefully now pinpoint tho moment of ovulation.
As far as your strips not reading, are you testing from urine in a cup or from the urine ******??? Mine reads best from a cup. Also- I got mine from Amazon. It was a pack of around 50 I think for maybe $5! They work wonderful for me! I'll post a picture of mine!

Thanks Nann! Yes I bought the strips from Amazon too, mine look a different brand though. I use a cup, follow instructions as on packet but have had negatives. Just nervous as have one more month to work out roughly when ovulation will fall, going t invest in some digital ones too. Rubbish at tracking CM. just to confirm when you get the positive you are not actually ovulating then, it's roughly a couple days later??? I was always rubbish at biology.

Yes! So the lh surge happens prior to ACTUALLY ovulating. So LH is released in your urine approx 12-24 prior to the egg actually being released! But some women vary that's why there's a whole 12 hour gap between 12-24 hours! Which is where tracking basal body temp comes in. You could try starting with tracking your basal temp first to get an idea where your temp spikes. The temp spike indicates the release has happened vary recently since first +opk!

Should I call it an omen? I was cleaning out my nightstand today and found an envelope full of opks (30-40) that I thought I mailed to a friend of mine after I got pregnant with DS2 and assumed they must be expired now.. They don't expire until October 25 of this year! I can start testing for my surge as soon as I get my iud out tomorrow instead of waiting until payday to buy opks. Maybe I'll catch the first egg
