Why exactly is it not allowed there? Is there a specific, government ordained reason or just popular vote (sorry I'm not 100% what form of government Australia has I think democracy but not sure). Feel free to share some of the comments! I'm intrigued!

But the most interesting thing was that last night I went grocery shopping with DS2 and the whole time I was in the store I kept smelling a gross urine smell-- like that of a homeless man that hasn't bathed in a month! I kept looking around to see if there was someone following me, but nothing! I asked DS2 and he said he didn't smell anything LOL! Then late last night I remembered that the same thing happened a year ago right before I found out I was pregnant with #3. I was so grossed out a year ago that I even posted about it on Facebook! So I went back one year on my Facebook wall, found the post and the date, went back on my chart and found out that I started smelling urine daily at 6dpo LOL!!!! I posted on Facebook about how my sons' bathroom reeked like a men's urinal and that I had thrown bleach all over the floor three days in a row and then I posted days later about the grocery store reeking as well! It was actually one of my Facebook friends that posted that it sounded like I was pregnant and it turned out she was right! So fingers crossed! When I was pregnant with DS1 I though DH reeked! His breath always smelled to me even after brushing his teeth! When I'm not pregnant, I've never thought he's smelled!
    Sounds promising!

I saw an article on a local news site about Dr Potter/Gender Selection and the comments were annoying. One women said she has a boy and a girl but if she has two the same she would still be happy and people should be happy with what they are given... yeah well it's nice to say that when you have no idea how it feels to experience gender disappointment (and I am very much happy with my two boys!)

I always say anything before 10 DPO is just for fun. The odds of getting a BFP at 10 DPO are small... before 10 DPO is extremely rare. you get a BFP soon!

I think they had it before 2005 and then it became restricted to only allow people with to use it if they are trying to avoid certain genetic conditions.
We have a democracy here but not everything is put up for a public vote. We vote for a preferred political party based on the policies they present to the public. Only things that need to change the constitution need to go to a referendum, although there is another thing they can do to let the public decide on a policy which there is talk they will do to decide if we will allow same-sex marriage but the gender selection decision isn't big enough to go to that.

As you can tell by my post I'm not super political with my terminology..

Got ya Thanks for filling me in. I still don't understand why it got restricted in the first place... Too many of one gender being born?? I'd doubt that considering most ppl can't afford IVF/PGD, but you never know. Seems like such a silly thing to restrict to me. There are sooooo many more pressing matters in this world, ya know?

Last dose of clomid taken and the wait to O begins.

The vicks and honey concoction didn't seem to be helping so I finally caved and started taking the mucinex. My hope is that by not wasting anymore time I can get this kicked out quickly and maybe even avoid having to take it around attempt time since I have at least a week before I O. I also found an old inhaler and that has done a lot to allow me to breath fairly well. I should finish my antibiotics on CD 10 so hopefully I'll be feeling better by then and can drop mucinex and all and get back to normal but if I have to continue taking it I'm not going to let myself be stubborn about it. If I'm not healthy then I risk the baby's health and that's not a risk worth taking. Atomic says Femara sways even more than Clomid but Femara doesn't change CM so maybe the clomid will still work for our sway even if I have to use mucinex around attempt time. Either way, since we are not willing to take a cycle off, what will be will be. We want a girl but would love a boy too So, if we catch the egg this cycle then, boy or girl, we will be thrilled

For ethical reasons its def not allowed in china and India and don't even think their allowed to tell you gender until after a certain point. If they elected a more religious person/ think Republican here then they might ban for that. Again the numbers are probably pretty small for people using it for gender.
Bfn again this morning. 11dpo w very concentrated fmu on a free. Again looked like maybe something. Maybe. Af due today if it keeps up with same pattern which is af ranging from 35-28 but keep 10 day lp every time. The wait continues
    Its A Girl!!
