Yeah, every pregnancy is different, although I've always been able to see the heartbeat early. I have 3 boys- I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it or not.

Maybe I should just make an u/s appt for tomorrow (5w3d) to see if I can see anything and declare this a blue bean and save myself the agony for 15 more weeks!

You could but... I don't know that you'd definitely see something. I didn't at roughly 5 weeks with DS1 (they thought I was 10 weeks based on LMP).
As far as gender... it makes sense! I am hoping to be pleasantly surprised but I think odds of a blue singleton outrank my odds of pink and/or twins so I am just kinda hoping for pink but expecting blue, hoping for 2 but expecting one. The way I see it is it's better to be surprised than disappointed.

Tatum- it did it AGAIN!!!
Here is short version of what I wrote:

Makes sense. That's basically what I am doing. Would love twins and/or girl but I think I have better odds on a blue singleton. So basically I am hoping for pink, expecting blue and hoping for 2 but expecting 1. I figure it's better to be surprised than disappointed. Our family is complete

Boooo!!
Nah, I was just kidding. I think I'd be too disappointed and just worry more than I already do! I'll just wait it out...two more weeks! I keep thinking this pregnancy isn't even real. Today at work I sat there and thought, "I'm not even pregnant," and then I worry it's just my motherly instinct telling me something is wrong. And then I remind myself I'm crazy, squeeze my boobs to make sure they're sensitive and think happy thoughts lol.
I'm hoping that there's two in there and both girls!! I can't wait to find out with you, two!!DS1 5/2016

I can't say you sound like me with my first. I was so sick with him that I was either preg or dying lol. BUT I do catch myself doing the same this time. I'm tired, and mildly queasy (that stuck in the throat feeling) but otherwise don't feel preg AT ALL... not like in my other pregs.
Well, you hope for me and I'll hope for you that way we both have someone hoping but we can go on our merry oblivious way thinking it's the opposite*wink*
