I didn't realize they gave methotrexate along with surgery!

I've had no more pain or spotting, so I think the pain was a ligament--my toddler had jumped on me earlier in the day. I can't decide whether to make an appointment with an OB or not. I'm leaning not, at this point.
Bean wouldn't havr been affected by your toddlers play this early since your uterus is still tucked safely behind your pelvis. You are prob right and if pain and bleeding have stopped then bean is likely fine

For a moment when I saw the bean In THE UTERUS (wasn't there a few days ago btw!!) my heart leapt. I thought "my bean was strong enough to beat it all!!" but then my mind immediately went to the methotrexate Bean is JUST a gest sac and yolk sac and is measuring 5w 2d (I would be 5 weeks 6 days by ovulation... but i guess its possible this bean didn't implant until 4 days after the first... right??) with no fetal pole. Doctor told me to immediately start taking my multi vitamins again in hopes of stopping the methotrexate in it's tracks (*IF* this could be a viable pregnancy) as folic and other vitamins diminish it's effectiveness. BUT I am not holding my breath on this one. Even the OB (who said he was baffled btw, lol... leave it to me to stump the doc!) said not to get my hopes up. He had me schedule and u/s for next week and I already have orders for BW on Saturday. He said we'd know more then. So, thus begins the LONGEST week of my life!!

As far as the pain, my left ovary has a hemorrhagic cyst and is adhered to something (not sitting quite right in there) but I was told this won't cause any issues getting preg in the future, assuming this preg is doomed as suspected.
Two!!!!!! What in the world?? I mean WHAAAAT?!?!?!?!?

I'm stunned but at the same time wow!!

I hope this little bean continues to be your little miracle . . . I can't imagine how you feel what a journey.

WHAT IN THE EFFFFFFF?!?! OMG Two I know it's still early but I am so happy for you!! Oh man, praying this bean beats the odds and is happy and healthy and we can all tell people one day, "I know this woman who thought she was having an ectopic pregnancy...and had a happy, healthy baby!"

On a second note though, what DID they do then when they performed the surgery? Were there two eggs and one WAS outside the uterus? Did they open you up, see you had a sac and sew you back up? I mean...wth did they do? Which makes me wonder if they saw something why they put you on the metho? So many questions...man oh man I am pulling for this bean!!!

They did a laproscopic surgery to try to find and remove the pregnancy, D&C... don't know why... procedure maybe?, and topped it off with methotrexate.

    Copied from my TTC thread:
"That seems to be the question of the hour. I talked to my OB for the first time today since surgery. He said (before today's u/s) that during the surgery my tube looked great, that my uterus was swollen like it should be when preg but there was no uterine preg (again BEFORE the u/s) and that they barely got any tissue from the D&C and couldn't find bean outside the uterus. Said the only thing he noticed out of sorts was that my ovary on the left side was kinda rolled over and he said he tried but couldn't fix it and said it sometimes happens if there is a cyst, endometriosis, etc. weighing it down. AFTER the u/s he was as dumbfounded as I was and said he was baffled and basically everything I already posted that he said. He said he has never had this happen to him before. So honestly, he nor I know if it's a case of u/s tech error or what... "

I *think* that answers all the questions you asked lol.

    OMG two !!
It is possible they missed the pregnancy because less than 5 weeks usg does not show a sac. Its too tiny.
But a pregnancy cannot survive a D&C. They scrape off (curretage) ur uterine lining when doing that or atleast they r supposed to.
So i dont know know what they were doing
How did they even think u had an ectopic bcoz like i said not finding a sac in uterus less than 5 weeks doesnot automatically mean ectopic

My OB did not even bother with the sono and said for ectopic we rely on HCG levels until atleast 5 weeks and then if needed a sonogram is done
